....this new 2013 Dainese Super Speed Leather Jacket looks awesome. White leather is notoriously hard to keep clean and this jacket is pricey at $799 but it is tempting.

Saw it this am on revzilla... Dainese leather is superb, I just wish they cater more to athletic guys, it's hard to pull their stuff unless you're skinny. Love my Rebel jacket and my delta pants though...
This is isn't bad either and has less white, beside you have to diversify you wardrobe no?
All you need is one of these:

I have one of those already, just in black....lol. That white looks sharp though.

You have the Dainese Rebel in black? What size?
Also do you have the Dainese Delta Pro pants? What size are they?

Reason I ask, I bought a pair last year, Euro size 58, too big for me, they almost slide off my butt. Ordered off Revzilla without trying them on first....big mistake!

Size 56 Euro in the Dainese is near perfect fit for me.
Euro 58 in the Taichi GMX Motion fits well also.
Size Euro 60 in the Taichi WRX302, doesn't fit much better than this in an off the rack suit.

Does nobody make a leather jacket without perforations and stretchy panels anymore??
Got 2 alpine stars jackets but they are way too cold for winter riding

The jacket is a 58 black. It fits really nice with the back protector. If it wasn't for my arms, I think I could get away with a 56.
The pants are a 56. I almost ordered a 58 but went to the local cycle gear to try them on. It's snug on the thighs but too big at the waist. I have the same problem with all my clothes though (I'm 32 waist but wear 38 jeans and they're not baggy). When I get a chance, I will have somebody put velcro on the entire part of the adjustment strap. It should allow for for a tighter fit. Just like you, they do tend to slide off when I stop squatting for a while but most of the time the are connected to my Rebel jacket

The Atem jacket by Alpinestars is $699... I think.

Roland Sands makes leather jacket like that but they're pretty thin. I have seen some non perforated jacket but they had the accordion panels in the back. The Rebel come in a non perforated version but you'd still be cold. Manufacturers don't bother with leather for winter jackets because they know the guys willing to ride in those temps are willing to ride in the rain and therefore need something like these:
This is what I'm looking at right now (the alpinestars tech st gore tex) but $899 can buy a lot of track days, plus I'll have to ride in the rain a lot to justify this price! I like the fit though (there is a good vid @ revzilla.com, the matching pants cost 799 ouch!

Yes, you are right, best leather jacket warmth wise is a 20 year old Scott jacket I have, very heavy, no vents, nice lining,
Im looking at the Dainese version of that Alpinestar textile jacket, ...its just not the same as leather, old dog new tricks maybe

I like the A* better... but after 3 crashes w/o major injury in A* gear this year, I may be biased.

I looked at the Astars today at MotoLiberty, the same jacket comes in four different colors, I liked the white/black/fluro yellow the best. Some guy pulled up on a new 1199 Panigale S Tricolore wearing the white/red Taichi and that killed my desire for a white jacket, maybe he just didn't have the bod for it but it looked tacky. I almost asked him if he ever tried cornering that thing, chicken stripes were the width of a dollar bill. Why are Duck owners always old guys who don't ride them?

I stopped in at my Kawi dealer to look at the 2013 ZX-10Rs. The white was OK but the passion red/black looked wicked, that would be my first choice if I didn't already have a black one. Only apparent update for '13 was a speed sensitive Ohlins steering damper.

If you buy A** you really have to be honest with yourself. Let your gut relax and measure without pulling the tape tight. You might be surprised how many more inches you have than what your jeans are leading you to believe. I went two inches smaller than my actual waist measurement when I ordered and the A** pants I got were real tight. Fortunately lost a few pound ssince last winter and they are perfect now.
Personally, I like a little bit loose. Super tight .5mm cowhide is pretty hard to move around on the bike in.

Maybe the a* is giving you too much confidence, hence the crash ;)
Nah... I'm just a shitty rider.
Will likely be riding/racing in a Pilot next year though... so time will tell.

Not always... just usually.

Loose does not protact as well... You'll get rash from your skin rubbing on the inside of the suit during a slide.
Snug, well broken in gear is the way to go, IMO. I worked out in my suit to break it in... no shit... I know some guys will take showers with them on.

Loose and floppy I don't care for although I am amazed at some of IOM slow mos I saw where the riders' leathers are a' flappin in the wind.
If it feels tight standing up, that's too tight. Only gets tighter when get on the bike. Admittedly, never wore a one piece. Looks like they would be more forgiving in the waist because they don't depend on tension around the hips to keep them from falling down.

I posted the above a few days ago with pics but I can't see the pics. When I do an edit, the URL for the images is there. When I log onto this site with my iphone, the images are there but not on my office computer. Weird, does anyone know what's up, maybe BG can explain this? Can you guys see the pics I posted?

thats something along the lines of what im thinking about..the Dainese version is as good, or better feature wise..but it does not look anywhere near as good, A* has much better cut, cant find any stockists here just yet..
