I am freshening up a 2006 ZX14 with 100,000 km and was thinking of sending the rear shock away to be rebuilt as it has never been serviced. I recently found a much newer take off rear shock from a 2022 ZX14 listed for much less than the cost of rebuilding my shock. I know its a long shot, but does anyone know if this new take off rear shock from the 22 model, will fit the 06? Thanks

Part numbers have changed thru the years. That could be anything like different internal valving, spring rate, company outsource change on a better bid, things like that. But I'm thinking ride height has not changed much, so length wise eye to eye would be X, and the Y would be width at both ends to fit in the slots, so the question is, ask the seller what is the eye to eye length? You have yours out to measure.

If numbers match I'd go for the takeoff shock and take the chance.
