OK so bikes don't usually pose as much of a threat to other motorists but they do stupid stuff too. Last night I was out working on the 14 and I heard this 600 screaming off in the distance. He must have been on it hard. I often wonder where these bikes are when I hear them. I never see them on the street. Are they off on the expressway? Well this bike went on until 11 pm when I came in. WTF is he doing? is he breaking in his new bike? I heard it stop briefly a couple times. he must have been stopping for gas. It sounded beautiful but damn it was getting annoying. How the hell could he be going that fast for four straight hours? I heard sirens after 11 o'clock which encouraged me to listen a little harder. There were other bikes. Sounded like someone doing a burnout on the rev limiter. At least two cop cars. This went on until after midnight! Sirens and that same bike I heard first, the exhaust sound was unmistakable. Nothing on Youtube yet.

A light hearted, fun loving sportbike traffic crime problem in this city would be refreshing instead of all the homicides but I don't really need the increased police presence.

I always wonder that myself. I rarely see them in action, but I hear the noise. The highways nearest my house are pretty state trooper heavy, so I don't know how they get away with it. I save my funnin' around for out of town. The only thing that hears me are the deer & turkeys. ;)

I was encouraged when meeting up with 2 riding buddies recently ... they got to the gas station before me ... and when I pulled up they said, "Holy shit, we heard this deep, growling exhaust echoing off that retaining wall, and it was you!"

Me: "Oh good I was afraid it was kinda high pitched and too loud, like crotch rockets can be."

Them: "NO, not at all! Deep and ... good."

That said, I'm currently back on the OEM cans!! HAHA!

Wife says she can hear me coming 5 mins before i ger home. She claims the dog knows the sound of my bike and gets up even before she hears it. Gotta love the CT Meg

I went out searching for them last night. Couldn't sleep and heard them zooming around. One time it was very close within a couple blocks. No luck, I didn't happened across a single bike and I sure couldn't hear them while riding. I can see why they're out at night though. There's NO traffic. ZIP. gotta be some cops patrolling though. ooch, I'd hate to get pulled over for triple digits at night.
