Any recommendations for brighter headlights? I'm not impressed with the factory lights visibility on dark roads.

I just installed PIAA Xtreme White Plus 4000K H11 55W = 110W in low beams and P9 PIAA extreme white plus 4125K bulbs in high-beams P9 65W=120 W. Plug in play and much better that stock with no other parts needed

Try re-aiming the stock lights.
Take off the ram air covers, find the left and right vertical adjusters and raise them 3 full revolutions.
I've found between 3 and 4 turns to be a big improvement.

I found with the gen1 that when I had the lights directed at the height i wanted them, the low beams were shining into cars ahead of me.

I would like to adjust mine as I have Coke to the same conclusion and that is the low beams are too low. Does anyone know which direction makes them go higher? The manual does not indicate. Thanks

I aimed mine up and out a couple inches at about 8'. Did wonders. I think overall aiming them out is what helped the most. In curves with the factory aiming, light didn't even hit the road any more. No one's flashed brights at me or flipping their rear view up when I'm behind them, or flipping me off.

I can't see how people see adding these super bright bulbs is different from aiming higher. Yes, if you aim them up a foot, you're going to be blasting people. But this isn't going to be any different if you run those super bright bulbs with the factory aiming. Light is light and if super bright bults are blasting the roadway they are blasting the other people on the roadway.

HID's on all my bikes, once you try them you will see (literally). I rarely get flashed and rock the highbeams during the day.

Actually I thought the stock lights were pretty good, but I ride deer-infested county roads all the time and don't like to scrimp on the lighting. I tried some high-power LEDs and like them a lot. It's pretty much daylight in front of me.

Here a couple of photos of the 2008 with them half done. I haven't put them on the 2015 yet.

These have fans on the back and were a tight fit next to the ram-air ducting. I'm hoping there's enough room in the 2015. I'm for sure putting another set in.

If I swapped out bulb types I'd like to go LED. I have a theory that it would be helpful in more ways than just visibility. It would reduce bugs being attracted to the bike.
