Is this normal tire wear?

Hi All, I've got a set of Pilot Power III's on my bike. These are the first dual compound tires I've used and I'm wondering if it's normal to see where one compound ends and the next begins. The tires have around 2k on them and feel fine, I didn't notice the color change until about 500 miles ago. Thanks for your time.

They go through stages depending on how you ride, but the discoloration and wear you are experiencing is normal. Can't wait till you start shredding them, Muhuhahahahaha!
