Grab handle rail install
02/13/26 6:59 PM

Putting the bike up on a paddock stand felt kind of iffy doing it solo, because I couldn't find anything solid to hold onto. I found the grab handle kit from T-Rex here in Texas and installed it.

https://www.t-rex-racing.com/2006-2019-Kawasaki-ZX-14R-Grab-Bar-p/n60-13gb.htm

They went on easy and feel very sturdy. It makes putting it up on the stand feel less sketchy, and It's so solid that I plan to use it as a tiedown point the next time I need to trailer it.

The blend right in too, so I don't think anyone would notice them unless they were looking for them.

Yes, they are nice! Have them on mine, as well.

I always thought those looked cool! Smart choice if you're using a rear handle stand and keeping the OEM muffler hangers. I always went with a forward handle stand or a swing arm pivot stand because I can't stomach the thought of standing behind the bike to lift it to vertical. I have a rear handle stand for some procedures. I put the bike on the swing arm pivot stand first before lifting under the spools with the rear handle.

Until recently, all I used were rear handle stands, @Rook. It is quite easy with the grab bar of the Busa, but even with other bikes it's only stressful for a moment. This keeps the streamlined look of the bike and a place to add a bit of security/safety.

LOL BigBS, I was afraid even with the swing arm pivot stand. I guess once you get acquainted with using it, anything is acceptable. It seems most of us end up doing these things on our own but having a buddy spotter is in order the first few times you try this.

anyway...those handles are an appearance enhancement and they are useful.
