I run reg since day one times 3 14's and I hear no knocking so if a map is used, that's rich so there you go, more gas less heat. Try reg see what happens. You hear a noise, top it off with premium, no harm no foul, right?

Book says to lube the chain with heavy gear oil.
Book says to change plugs @ 7,500mi.
Book says many things to follow but once out in the public's hands... Out of the factory's hands, right?

Because I'm picky about what I use. If you aren't familiar with Top Tier it's worth taking a look at.

Better wait for the dragang. Some of those fuels make about 1 or 2 hp and that's it. Then, clean every hose, bowl, line, f/pump of it. Be careful for 1 hp gain.

Premium. Never noticed anything extra from lower grades except more popping. That tells me the risk of pre-detonating is real.

Det happens with racing engines and lots of advance and compression. Low rpm and high vacuum is going to knock. You taking off and speed shifting is not going to occur. Ask all the drag racers running regular so the flame occurs faster, no octane slowing it down, right?

Kawasaki recommends 90 octane fuel, says so right in the owners manual. There is a difference in gas brands, proven in independent lab test numerous times, refer to the Top Tier website I posted before. The Top Tier brands thing is not a scam to sell higher priced fuel, I use Shell and Phillips 66 because they are both close to home and work, their prices are the same as everyone else, sometimes lower.

Some people in different areas of the country can get away with lower octane fuels because of the different formulations used to compensate for temps and altitudes.

Rook what grade fuel did you use when you noticed more popping vs what you run now for less popping. Never heard this before?
