I have used the Scala Q2 multiset for 2 years... Fucking awesome once you get your radio presets in... My only gripe about it is in regard to the cell phone, occasionally when pushing the buttons I turn on the voice commands and dial someone by accident...

If you plan to ride with other riders who have Scala, be sure to get the latest version (firmware, hardware).

Older Scala-compliant systems have trouble connecting to newer ones.

I'll give Schuberth props for the C3 Scala Rider Communication system (SRC) it is latest-gen and firmware updates using the pc-based updater can keep it current with advances made in the Scala specification.

Had my Q2 for around 3 seasons no major issues. With that said If your connecting more than two units like 3 its difficult to switch between them @ least with my model not sure if the newer Q2 or 4 works better. I was also looking in to the Uclear just because the boom on the scala gets in the way of my chin skirt.

Unfortunately, I have no experience but while skimming the Uclear site I noticed they claim it is WaterPROOF in big type then in smaller type directly underneath they say it is only RESISTANT which, while this may not be an intended loophole, is technically not Waterproof. For someone like me in my climate where weather changes in minutes I wouldn't want to take the chance with a resistant unit because it'd have to be submersible to pass the flogging I'd give something labeled waterproof.
But then I'm sure a phone call and check of some reviews would clear any questions up.
The reason I could never pull the trigger is no one I know uses them, and the choices all seem so ambiguous as to just how well they work. I mean you can read their impressive explanations about how their units work best and blah blah blah. But you never know until you actually buy the dang thing and then I picture myself screwing around with some silly shit hanging on the side of the helmet and slamming into the back of a parked semi trailer. lol
I guess I just know MY limitations. ;)
gl I hope you find a good unit.

went ahead and pulled the trigger on the UClear,2 main reasons was its smaller and stealthy compared to the scala g4 and no boom mic to mess with. Now if your looking to communicate with more than 1 other bikes then this is not the 1 for you

Well next spring I'll let you guys know how they work. I love getting free stuff lol
