Hey guys, do any of you ride with electric gear, either vest or jacket? wondering if our charging system would handle two jackets, if so any advice on brands?

I have Gerbings jacket liner, pant liner and gloves with two rheostatic controllers. One runs the jacket liner and the other runs the pant liner and gloves. You could probably run two jacket liners with no problem as long as you remember to switch them off when the motor isn't running. Your passenger won't use nearly as much juice being out of the direct windblast.

TT I used first gear jacket liner, first gear pants and gloves...with the dual controler. I love them for sure! The Gerbings is better stuff for sure so I'd go that route next time. The bike haldels it great always cahrging at 14. to 14.5 volts even with heated grips and phone charger at the same time. I mounted the dual controler on the bike so I just plug into her and go.

I saw some jacket liners with thinsulate which would be nice but add a little bulk, my leather jacket is a tad on the snug side, I can wear a sweatshirt under it but that would be about it, do you suppose these jacket liners would be fine with just maybe an underarmor longie on? I hate to add too much more bulk under my leather.

TT, I've had Warm and Safe and Gerbings jacket liners.
The W&S is much less bulky if space is at a premium.
The Gerbings has some Thinsulite insulation and I never use the original jacket liner anymore.
If you get gloves. you'll probably need a dual controller and I prefer the W&S wireless remote dual controller.
I can run my heated jacket liner, gloves and pants and the charging system has no problem maintaining.
I may replace the 55 watt headlight bulbs with 35 watt HID's, picking up 40 watts of extra usuable power on low and 80 watts total on hi beam.
If you need more, Rick's MotorElectrics offers a stator with 20% more output.

I run a Warm and Safe liner and a pair of their gloves (along with a GPS and phone) with no problems. Mine is an older W&S liner, and the only issue I have with it is the neck is a little too tight when zipped up all the way.
The two greatest accessories I've ever bought were a Sena headset (keeps me entertained and can make calls on teh move), and heated gear (keeps me Mmmmmm, Toasty). I would go for a liner over a vest...just to have more heat.
