Agreed !!! Look what happened in NHRA pro stock, it took the harleys almost double the displacement to win !

NHRA pro stock is freaking joke. Don't get me started on that BS. Harley BOUGHT that series and leveraged so many rules and stipulations on the imports that it's a non competition. Equal displacement, equal valvetrain, and equal bike weight. The Harley's would be a full second off pace.... IF NOT MORE!

I know there are others on here how have Harleys, and I LOVE the way they sound but it stops there for me. I almost bought one once... I was in the the shop, money in hand and I was there with my wife for 45 mins and NOBODY even said 'hi' to us. So I went and bought my Honda VTX.
Glad I did.

It's not necessarily the harley's themselves that I don't like. I like anything with two wheels. It's usually the people that ride them that are a-holes. I find that they think they're badazz just because they ride a harley and spent 25 grand on a bike. Or the guys that act tough on the bike and dress in 100% leather and then pushes pencils during the week. no offense to any pencil pushers here because I'm a key pusher lol My cousin wanted to buy a harley just because he watches sons of anarchy and he thought it would make him look tough. It seems that harley guys refuse to wave to me when I'm riding just because I ride a kawasaki. MOST of them are a bunch of pricks if you ask me. No offense to any harley owners here, my dad has a harley and I say MOST not all harley riders. Unless it's just that this area has a different kind of riders.

It's hard to wave with all that Cowhide weighing ya down;)Textile/leather's the best;)Besides...that would mean taking your hand off the bar...would YOU want to do that on a Harley?It just crossed my mind...it's possible they don't SEE us...well...some of us anyway.

Yea, were just messing around lol ! But I rode a built harley, and after I got off, I was thinking to myself
" Where's the beef ? " my stock import had way more power, rode smoother, cornered better, was lighter, and not to mention reliable, but hey it's a free country, riding a harley is better than driving most cages ..
I understand the 1% thing, but these guys that buy them to try to act like 1 per centers, crack me up,
If you buy one because that is what you truly like, then more power too you ....

Funny you mention that Grn, because my 14 practically begs for me to take both hands off the bars when I'm coasting. Weird. We talk about steering stabilizers for/against and get one if you want, but the stability of this motorcycle is hard to believe.

I agree, I have never had even a wobble on this bike, and I have had it at high speeds MANY times, in corners, sweepers, straight, etc .... Only problem I have had, is the rear tire breaks loose while accelerating, LOL !

That is what gets me. The typical *I am a badass because I ride a Harley* mentality.
Merely buying a particular motorcycle and wearing all the bullshit apparel they love to wear, and not taking a bath and getting the sleeves cut outta their t shirts, and the chaps and all that bullshit. To those guys, wearing that automatically means you are tough as hell.
Seems the more Harley stuff they wear, the tougher they are.
Guys like that think they are intimidating, but I see them as...........Comedy gold....pure comedy gold.
