Installing ABS- help!
08/09/19 12:00 AM

I bought a 2015 zx14r and the guy removed the ABS.
Problem is I didnt remove it. I have a bunch of lines and and garbage and do not know what goes where.
Galfer brake line kit is only half a kit, but my entire system was gutted.
I cant find concise pictures anywhere on the assembly of the stupid pipes which goes where etc because the stupid service manual is laid out as if YOU have taken it apart.
I tried the search function , and no avail, just some for sale in the classifieds,
Farce book has screwed any decent information sharing without any threads to follow or coordinated sources of info.
Im about to lose my mind, something so simple, yet no info, no good photos of the lines and routing, nothing .

can some body help me out with photos where the rear abs line mounts and the routing to the module?
also steel lines from the steering neck to the module please?
I would really appreciate it.

if its easier you can send them to my email, lyledubois at hotmail dot com. no spaces.
that way you dont have to photo host. Another reason farce book took over, simplicity to load pics.

Thanks,
Lyle.

With the amount of money and time you're trying to invest in ABS just get a couple sets of pads and practice the shit out of braking properly. You'll stop much faster than any abs system and you'll be a better rider forever.
Wait for the weight, if in doubt stoppie it out

Brother, I've been riding 30 years street and 40 years dirt, I thought the same thing until my zx10r , when forced to panic brake on pavement dusted with gravel due to vehicle pulling out on an approach, I blocking the entire highway leaving me the dirty approach and or ditch to stop on, i could literally feel the marbles under the front tire causing the tire to roll off sideways while 100% brake applied to avoid running into the ditch over the culvert, non abs would have lowsided immediately , rider down, damaged bike.

I always thought the same thing until that moment. ABS does make world difference in some situations, and in this instance my braking distance may have been 5 feet longer, but it didn't slide 30 feet on its side either.

Thanks for the useless advice though.

The tank has to be removed for the front hoses. The module is behind the battery. So with tank off, battery removed, the front lines fall down the right side neck, onto the ram chamber, down to the module. If say the rear fender mount with two allen head bolts holding the one side rail, the bolts are just to the right of the rear brake master. If it looks like those 2 bolts were removed, then to install the rear brake line, you have to remove the fender/seat braces. If they never looked like they were removed, maybe you drop the brake assembly to install the rear abs line.
