Tired as heck
10/24/12 4:46 PM

Went to the doctor yesterday as a follow up to my heart attack.I had a very bad rash all over my body.My platlets were low.Game me another blood test to see if I needed a blood transfusion.Today the rash started going away so my platlets were building. So I decided what the heck nice day I'm going riding.Put in the fuel stabilizer got some BP 93.Put my Brocks map back in but I don't like it at very low speeds it stutters.I passed a truck in 1st and the front end jumped sideways, sat it down hit it again and it came back up and passed the truck.Started getting on the old girl and it felt good 110 in 3rd.

But by the time I got home I was whipped, out of breath.I only went 40 miles but that was enough.Think I'm done for the year, but it sure was fun getting that old girl on 1 wheel.

Have to put my custom map back in.I ordered all the screws, washers, nuts and pushpins needed to do the ferrings.179 pieces off E-bay for $61.00.I lost some and broke some. They will be here Friday so I can install my CF ram covers. It ran ok for having the old map.I'm not supposed to lift 10 pounds so I overdid it.Had to use my inhaler when I got back.My girlfriend got back from work and angirly said you took that bike out!Well yea,how did you know? You moved your car up to get it out of the garage.I ought to hit you she said.Damn.I just got some gas and did a couple wheelies hun, honest.

Put my Brocks map back in but I don't like it at very low speeds it stutters.

You mean it kinda crackles, sizzles ....not jerky but the sound is not perfectly smooth, Mine does that also. Never noticed a change with autotune adjustments. That's the way it is in the tiny throttle opennings just barely open a crack..

Started getting on the old girl and it felt good 110 in 3rd.

heheheheeeeeeeee!!! Yeah, I hit 130 yesterday and it started to scare me. This bike can do a lo t better than that. I really need to stop riding so slow all the time.

But by the time I got home I was whipped, out of breath.

Must have been something in the air yesterday. I was thinking almost the same thing as I got off my 14 yesterday. I took a dee[p breath and thought, "Wow, I can breath again." I know how you feel, one last good romp. I'm not putting nuthin away until December though..

Concerning the front wheel skimming and wheelying, I'be noticed a difference having the steering damper. WHen I fird=st put that thing on I could not tell because I wasn't doing wheelies all the time (just started trying, actually). Now I took the damper off to get at my air filter. I have not put the damper back on. I feel two or three wiggles on touchdown where with the damper, maybe on little zip, usually nothing. Never thought the BMC would make much dif but at high rpm, I have a feeling it does get that wheel up a little bit easier. I have a fresh OEM filter here and I will have to try it to compare. See, I'm not done yet!!!

A couple of koo-koos here...on the street no less...Smooth Rook....smooth.She's wigglin' cause yer holdin the bars too tight.Let er come up...then back down....throttle...or rear brake...however ya want.Wheel straight on liftoff...wheel straight on landing...that's all it is.Easier said than done....I get it Bro;)

I think that damper is 'probably' a good thing.Never had one...but I can see the benefit for stuff like that.Hell...those GP SBK racers...their frontends wiggle on acellerations, yes?Course, their bikes are a tad lighter....what the hell do I know anyway?

"I really need to stop riding so slow all the time"...I wouldn't discount "slow".....that's what I'm gonna be working on when I return....well...not exactly 'slow'...but you know what I mean;)

I wasn't at high revs in first maybe 4 grand when it came up.When my bike hits 7 grand in 1st it comes up fast.

yup and with the damper, you usually don't even know. So it is the question of high tech equipment v skill again.

I wasn't at high revs in first maybe 4 grand when it came up.When my bike hits 7 grand in 1st it comes up fast.

HOO HHHHHHHOoOOOO!! Mine won't do it that low unless perhaps get a lift from a bump or perhaps some clutch action. Yes, about 7K all hell breaks loose! WOT some scarey hair raising sh!t happenning!!

I love to woop on the 14 every now and then. I know it would be in everyone's best interest if I just left well enough alone but the way I see it, this bike will be gone one day. I might even be able to wear it out myself if I keep it long enough (and I intend to). Might as well do everything it does. Some day she might get a little tired.

It sure does feels great to take her out for a spin. My friends call me crazy when I go out in this cold weather, but she does recharge my batteries when I take her out in I-95. It is a great feeling.

Went for a long ride, for me anyway, yesterday. 40 miles each way with a 2 hr rest in between. Haven't ridden for a month or so. Man was I sore when I got up this morning! I did learn that if I bring my elbows in, it's a much more comfortable angle on my wrists. I can't hold them that way for more than a few minutes, because it's hard on my back, but my hands didn't bother me at all.

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.
