Need help cowling pad ID
02/19/12 10:32 AM

I am in the process of swapping out my 2010 red color for 08 SE matte color. I found a black foam pad under the bike
I think it`s from the right side but not sure. Also if it is from right side where? and which way does it go?
Also as one of our great members always say!

And thanks to anyone who can help!

Not the best pic, but it's the piece with tape on it.

Fit it where it that circle is cut out for the radi hose. So, right now, you know it fits right side, and around a hose... "It only fits one way." Fit it!

Dogozx, Hub, and Rook
THANK YOU! I was close but wrong hose. It must have fallen off when I pulled the radiator and was draining the antifreeze out of the lines so they stop dripping. I think I need to remove the panel to install it no big deal. And Rook that is a awesome post on fairing removal! I wish I found it before I changed out mine. I got it figured out but would have been a lot quicker if I read your post sooner. To learn how the panels come apart without breaking any tabs is a bit of a trick and I didnt break a single tab. Only issue besides the foam was the plastic tray under the front fairing. I welded a tab to the radiator for the second fan and it was hitting the tray. I needed to modify the tray a bit to allow clearance. Thanks again guys!
