Hub, Should I Pull The Trigger....Again?

I know,I know,I wasn't going to buy any more bikes but this one is just too hard to pass up...

Cliff notes version of the story, a buddy of mine, the same one that sold me my 2020 BMW S1000RR, had purchased this low mileage 2019 959 Corse and completely went through it for a track build up but then had an unfortunate accident on his 1198 Ducati last July and is not able to ride it.

2019 Ducati 959 Corse Edition
2600 Miles
1299 Single Side Swing Arm Conversion
Akrapovic Titanium Full Exhaust System
Ducati Race MAP
Ducati Front and Rear Carbon Fiber Huggers
Ducati Carbon Fiber Swingarm Cover
Ducati Carbon Fiber Rear Exhaust Heat Shield
Ducati Performance Windscreen
Ducati Folding Levers
Brembo RC19 Front Brake Master Cylinder
Brembo RC16 Clutch Master Cylinder
Pirelli Super Corsa SC3 Track Tires
Lightweight 525 O-ring Racing Chain
Marchesini Forged Alloy Wheels
Ducati Tail Tidy
Ohlins TTX36 Rear Shock
Ohlins NIX 30 Front Fork
Ceramic Paint Finish

He's asking $15K just to keep it "in the family"so to say.

You already have a similar Aprilia, right? I think I'd lowball. If you don't get it, you're $12,000 closer to getting something you don't already pretty much have. As for looks, that bike is fine but IMO, Ducati demands being all red.

...if it' something you really want, what's three-thousand bucks?

...but a Panigale V4, all red......again I say, what's three thousand bucks? or four or maybe five thousand bucks?

I don't want to insult a friend of mine with a lowball offer, it would cost me well over $25,000 to recreate this bike from scratch. The 959 Corse was a limited edition track version several thousand higher than the base, base model '18s, stock with similar low miles are selling at this price or higher, it's a steal at $15K with all the goodies.

I already have three red Ducatis, wanted something a little different for a change and this fills the bill nicely.

2019 Corse Edition MSRP of $17,895 + TT&L, the single sided swingarm is $3200 plus installation labor and parts. Add in all the other extras and upgrades listed and this bike would run close to $30,000 to duplicate. I told the owner this morning I'll buy it for his aking price, going to be epic I believe.

Sounds like you definitely want it and appreciate the excellent deal. I didn't balk at the prices for my new bikes either, I just wanted them and the price was reasonable, a few thousand bucks means nothing over the course of the years to come. I knew you had a Ducati, didn't know you had three! Definitely, if you have three reds, a new color is a bonus.

That is a great looking bike but your red one rings the bell for me. if I had a red Ducati, that would probably do it for me but if I got another someday, a new color would be appealing. I'd hope it would boldly announce "Ducati" with the graphics though. I'd want everyone to know that's a Ducati.

Much better shot of the Ducati V4 SP2 in it's native environment, that is a mean looking machine!

That is a beauty! I couldn't see your last pic but I googled some. I do like how that skinny seat transitions into the tail. Probably not what you want for street riding but I'd do it. In fact, I've always wanted to try that on a ZX-14.

Yep, I'm definitely burned out on red Ducatis now, the Artic White ones are pretty nice also.
