Just want to know if any bro's out their have had them last for several years? I like the look to go on my black ZX14r but are concerned that they burn out quicker or discolour poorly compared to the SS or Titanium types.

Bean, my Yoshi's have been on there since December of 2006 and still look sharp. Over time they do lighten in color slightly but not really noticeable. I keep mine waxed which helps preserve the natural beauty of the carbon fiber weave. I have carbon fiber cans on all my sportbikes, never have re-packed any of them. They just keep getting louder and deeper sound...me likeee

Thanks Kruz and ErikR your opinions are really appreciated as im really rapped with martin61's Leovince Evo MK11 CarbonFibre Slipons,IMO the look so so sweeeeet on my Black ZX14R the SS & Titanium to me just don't look right with it, thanks again to elay my fears im sold on them lol,ps. im not after "ANY" extra power! just to rid my self of those Cannons & a sweeeeeter sound

Hi bean07, mate this is what I use on mine.
keeps em looking great & puts a wax layer on em for protection from the elements.
It's also great for other parts of the bike to.

No worries Bean mate, I use the spray Carnuba wax when they start looking a tad dingy and they're back to mint in a jiffy.I agree they will look awesome on your black bike.....get em!

I've been running Akrapovic CF cans on my Falco for over 6 years and they still look good. I'll be adding Yoshi CF slip-ons to the 14R before Spring. Go for it !

Agreed ! Forums are about sharing info, not arguing ! Though I do have a tendency to go off topic a bit, as seen below.

You mentioned weather up north...In my case ( way north of you), today was 40f, sand in the corners, and ice in the shadows.
.... Perfect February riding weather ! .... and the first day of 2013 that I didn't have to trailer the bikes to pavement.

hey bean, i have the same as kruz, on my bike since jan 2007.
ive 50000 miles in very extreme conditions and they have faded a little alright but not enough to make me worry. ive never repacked them either. i do polish them as i do the whole bike using a black coloured car wax.
i like titanium but i think the black carbon fibre looks great on a black bike coz theyre the fastest colour LOL
