Zx14r Newbie :D
12/03/14 1:29 AM

G'day all!
I just purchased a steal of a deal on a zx14r :) in Melbourne, Australia!!!
My mate who I work with is abit of a biker nut (track days). He wanted the Zx14r as it's the fastest production bike at the time (he was than going to turn his CBR1000rr 2012 into a track bike). After purchasing the Brand new Matt black with red 14. I helped him get the beast home. When I Dropped his car home I asked how it was and he replied here is the key go for a ride (I jumped on and went around the block :)). A week passed and he was still not happy with the bike and offered to sell it to me at a bargin!!!!!!!! I jumped at it! Now I have a Brand New Zx14r 2 weeks old with only 290km's on the clock!!!! :)

My previous bike was a GSX650F Lams approved bike so its a big jump :) but I'm sure I will get use to it!

Hope you all won't mind me asking for some stupid advice havn't had such a masterpiece before !!!!!

Cheers Sean (aka Jet)

Nice! I love the black with just the minimal red highlights. I've never seen one like this in the US. Not sure if they offered this color scheme here.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Here is my list of things to get if I could get some advice aswell on things i might need and brands people would recommend as I don't have alot of money just to throw around at this time :(

Paddock Stands & Stand stoppers
Crash Protection (mainly for if some person pushes it over :( )
Tech spec tank pads (but i want them to go further i have seen them further up on the tank but can't find what to get)
Chain lube
Servicing Gear that i might need that could make life easier...

Go Pro and Helmet Intercom
Later is the Exhaust - Power commander and tune will talk later about exhausts!

Any help would be muchly appreciated!!!! also anything else you think off :)

Lookin sweet HM.

"Paddock Stands & Stand stoppers"...well...I can recommend a Hiendle pivot stand....not very expensive...and will raise front and back of bike with one lift...easy to use as well.Great for removing the front or back wheels....allows also to check steering stem bearings for proper movement and bearing action. You can perform all the maintenance you need with the bike on this stand.

"Pivot Stand

The Heindl Pivot stand lifts just about any sport bike that has at least an 8mm hole in each end of the
swingarm pivot bolt. The stand has stainless steel pivot pins that turn as you lift your bike which allows
smooth operation.

The Pivot Stand is extremely easy for one person to use: no more worries about dropping your bike or
needing someone to help you. Extra long lifting handle combined with ergonomically correct lifting
geometry allows you to effortlessly raise your bike.

When in use, the rear wheel is raised 2-3 inches off the ground. The bike can then be "rocked" backward
with the use of a support of some sort under the engine case, allowing the front end to be raised.

No need for a front stem stand: You can completely remove the front end of your bike with the use of our
pivot stand.
Black powder coat finish for durability.
$249.95"...USD
