So my son goes out to get on his bike for his first big solo trip and finds that some ASSHAT has;
A. cut the tree branch his bike was locked to
B. Dragged his disk locked bike out of his dorm space into a staff parking spot,( where it could have been towed)
and
C. parked their car in his space.
He reported it to the office and they took all the info noticing that this asshole doesn't even have a parking permit.
SO, while he's trying to get his disk lock unjammed from his front fender the dickhead comes out all hungover and says that the bike was that way already and he just parked there. I say B.S. So he's struggling with the bike and his sidestand folds up and the bike falls onto this prick's car. Bwhahahahahahaha! Dude just walks away which is good because we ain't paying him nothing. but now my kid has a broken windscreen, a snapped choke lever and his speedo only goes to 15 mph now. All fixable but come on!!! He went ahead on his ride and is now on his way up Highway 1 to Santa Cruz but said it was the worst Friday he's had in awhile. He has as much right to the parking space as anyone..I frigging HATE people who do things like this. I told him he should put a note on the windshield saying " you touch my bike again and I'll kick your ass."
Anyway, just wanted to vent to you guys. My son is all alone down there at school and sure doesn't need dumbasses making his life harder.

I'm sure you've installed a good moral compass into your son, A lot of parents can't be bothered with that task. I have three kids in college right now so I can relate to how helpless you feel. There have been a few times my wife has had to talk me out of taking a trip to campus to deal with some douchebag. What kind of bike is your boy riding? Maybe some of the guys have some parts laying around to donate to a good cause.

It should be discussed 1 on 1 and no onlookers. When you're finished making your point always police your casings!!

Thanks guys. He rides a 91 CBR F2 that we fixed up. I'm proud of him. Even with the broken choke lever,using his key he was able to start the bike and ended up going on his first big solo up Hwy 1 to visit a friend in Santa Cruz. Got back safely Sunday night, 1 hour riding in the dark..He is going to talk to the office about him parking his motorcycle at the bicycle rack, which would eliminate any chance of another douchebag claiming his spot by knocking his bike over.
Some people today just think that they are entitled to whatever they want, regardless of how it affects others. We are becoming a nation of children, alas.

I'm still trying to visualize the "tree branch his bike was locked to" part.

There are a bunch of shrub like trees that line the fence at the dorm. His cable lock can't reach the fence so he put it around one of the branches> probably around 1 1/2 inch in diameter. The guy broke it I guess, unless he had a saw in his trunk.
