Jags is a good dude... put an awful lot of faith in me with nothing more than my word backing me up.
That's why it pains me deeply that I must now shun him in the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch fashion for his acts of treason and heresy.
In another universe, i probably call him friend. Alas...

I don't blame him. That is a sweet ride!
Yep, very nice, only thing I would have done different was figured out a way to keep the 14R.

Jag's gone middleweight crazy, I was afraid that was going to happen, he's thinking about picking up a new Daytona 675R, totally redesigned for 2013.
He's got me looking at one now, very impressive bike.

I think this will be the bike to beat this year in the shootouts, clean sheet redesign of an already great motorcycle.

Sweetness there Kruz! I'll take mine in blue and white, but then it wouldn't be a R would it?
I think this and the new Z636 are gonna be throwing blows all year. It is getting rave reviews also and looks to be a little up on power over the Daytona....not much but up. I also think the Kawi 636 is the best looking bike they make.
It look like they are getting real close to sorting out the MV too btw.

^^^nah summer is more like 110 lol
I read an article this am, I don't remember which British mag it was but I don't see any new bike for me in the future anymore. 2-3 years old bikes and the right modifications and you have a bike that's current. Like the author simply said: this year new bikes are next year old bikes!
That being said I'm not saying you shouldn't get new bikes (I wish I was in that tax bracket) I'm saying once you get one make sure you get to know it intimately and when you get a good feel invest in some proven modes. In the magazine they brought a 2012 Suzuki up to S1000R level with about $4K. The after market is big now and from the looks of thing factory won't be able to keep up with new models.

Yep, don't expect much new out of Japan, status quo at best. Triumph went all out on the new 675R, total clean sheet redesign. Kawasaki changed a lot on the 636 for 2013, the Honda gets bold new graphics, same for the Gixxer and R6. The F3 is a dud so it looks like the Triumph and the 636 will be the shootout contenders.
Liters, I don't see anything changing for the next few years, the Japs are out of R&D money.

Always sad to see someone go to another brand but I love bikes as much as the next guy so good for him and best of luck. He got the Triple R which looks great except the headlights. Wow someone seriously F'd up that part of an otherwise beautiful bike. The 675 is just gorgeous and sounds sick with exhaust!!!
Good luck Jag and give us a ride report!

Hey fellas...hope everyone is doing well! Thought I would share a few new pics of the Triple with:
-R&G Tail Tidy
-Fly Screen
-Belly Pan
-Rear seat cowl
-Pass foot pegs removed
-Arrow can and flash installed
-Rizoma for Triumph Bar end mirrors
I REALLY love this bike! The handling is laser like in it's precision. The 104HP at the crank doesn't sound like much but with a 14K redline and that smooth triple motor, it revs SO fast and smooth it is supersport bike riding at it's finest, (outside of the Triumph Daytona or Kawi 636 of course.) Seriously it's been a nice switch for me since I have a serious sport bike in the S1000RR and the uber sport tourer in the K1600GT. Taking this 375lb bad boy out of the garage is like wheeling my wifes Trek out of the garage:) The handling is sublime with near perfect front rear weight distribution, lots of healthy torque, a gorgous triple wail, nuetral and light steering that tips in such a free and light manner it feels telepathic. My only problem is now I'm lusting for it's big brother the actual Daytona 675R:)
I was at the Triumph dealer as they were getting my blue ZX14 ready to sell to some chap from Oklahoma. Maybe he's on here? Anyway he got a hell of a deal and a hell of a bike. I do miss her from time to time, but seriously not a lot, great bike that it is and all. I can see owning one again at some point, just for now my trio feels better balanced.
Anyway, hope all is well to all once again, and here are the pics-oh yeah, Kruz name these locales:):
