Does anyone know if there are any 40t "steel" sprockets available?
Only looks like aluminum if you want 40t.
I'll go aluminum if I have to, but prefer steel.

Sunstar is where I get all of my steel sprockets. Give them a try.

I believe there's a bit of misconsception about gears.I mean....an aluminum gear(rear) will last a good while, but it needs more care than a steel.Chain lubed often(and cleaned)..correct slack.Correct alignment.I used a couple of aluminum rears...they held up fine.Heat and wear.I also think there are aluminum rears that are 'hardened'...maybe that's the norm?IDK.Hardened I mean much better at wear on the teeth that is.I pretty much stayed with steel so I didn't need to be 'concerned' about quicker wear...
