As anyone tried putting the bike on a rear stand, inserting a metal rod through the swing arm pivot, then putting a jack stand under each end of the metal rod, and removing the rear stand???? Seems like that might be a inexpensive way to create a swingarm pivot stand.

If you have had success with this - what was the material and diameter of the rod??

Extremely unstable when putting it on the jack stands and then when it is on the stands it only takes a little push to knock the stands over because the rod acts like a pivot!
