LOL Sounds crazy, but actually seriously wondering if anyone else has practiced drawing a concealed weapon with gloves on. I wanted to make sure I actually could, both on and off the bike.

you would have to practice with your left if it's on the bike, at least if it's moving.lol
Where do you conceal it so that you can reach it whilst on the bike?

I carry inside waist band on my right side. I am right handed. I have not come up with a good way to do the draw while maintaining throttle. Little old lady on freeway with me shit herself when I used left hand on throttle and right to draw. Kidding of course. Many years of using my left hand on throttle for short periods of time, may allow me to do so if I had to. Not sure where I would try this, without the possibility of being in deep shit.

Read some of the comments Yannih, but did not watch video. I am not a gun nut, but do carry everytime I leave the house. Another tool at my disposal if needed. It has been needed once so far. I also sell them, but nuts I m not. LOL Well, wife may disagree.

ZX, so I'm interested to know why you didn't watch the video?

I watched the video, and laughed a lot! That guy's a good performer! But I still don't agree with him. Just like Jon Stewart on his Daily Show; makes me laugh but I don't agree with most of what he says (waaay too liberal for me). Australians are a sovereign country and are of course free to do things their way. I prefer the way we do things in the US, related to guns; i.e. that we can have them. And if that comedian doesn't like the way we do it, he has many choices: He's of course free to keep making jokes and bad mouthing it (and get paid for it!) ... not all countries allow bad mouthing the govt! ... or try to change it (I hope he fails) ... or deal with it ... or pout ... or go home ... or go to another country. Many choices.
His one seemingly little comment where he said the Australian govt said, 'That's it, no more guns!', and his response was 'Well ... alright then.' COMPLETELY disagree with that. We the U.S. have a representative govt, so we ALL decide how we will be governed ... majority rules. We don't need or want a king dictating to us how we must live ... even though Obama is trying his damnedest to be one.
And I am definitely not what I would consider a gun nut. I do have a .22 rifle from when I was a kid; hasn't been shot in a decade(s?). And I have a 9m pistol at home, but it hasn't been shot in years either. I have no concealed permit.

I don't carry as regularly as I should, and I haven't found a practical way to carry and still be able to draw on the bike.
That said, I was trained to fire with my off hand in the military. So, if I was really concerned about being able to draw and fire while riding, I'd probably just get a left handed holster.

"Yannih, I very rarely watch anything on youtube. From the comments, it did not appear to be anything I was going to bother with."
Fair enough.
However this post is about drawing a firearm whilst on a moving motorcycle?
Im not trying to change anyone but in my opinion, that is insane.
Australians have a lot of time and respect for Americans, but we will never understand your gun laws.
Although I have obviously stated my opinion, Im not here to debate this as Ive heard it all before from both sides.
And neither will ever yield from their beliefs.
But I do know that if you go to another country you respect their rules, regardless of whether you agree with them or not, or you just don't go at all.
Simple as that.

You are correct, young man.
Aaaaaand, when you finally come over here to visit, you WILL carry a sidearm.
They hand em out as you come through customs.

Been to the States four time and had an awesome time each trip.
Great people, but I am particularly partial to the US girls.
Especially in Vegas.
Very fond memories...
And when I get handed my mandatory firearm at customs on my next visit, can it be one of those plastic guns that fire the sticks with the rubber sucker things on the end?
I promise I will carry it everywhere...

Yannih, I hope I will NEVER have to draw while on my bike, let alone while its moving. That's the kind of stuff for movies, but if I do, I would like to know I at least gave it some thought.
I always wear a helmet, but never plan on using it. Nice to know its there if I do need it though. Similar concept with the firearm.

I cant legally carry in LA county so never really gave it serious thought. But I do have plenty of guns as I grew up in the country and have been shooting and hunting all my life. My old hardcore Harley buddies all carried in shoulder holster rigs and most of them used full size 1911's. Seems to me drawing by unzipping the jacket and pulling with your right while the left has the clutch in and your right foot is on the break is less motion than getting to an inside right set up. I know I can get the jacket unzipped in a glove and all my shoulder rigs are grab in go - can you get a gloved finger inside the trigger guard without firing? That's what seems to be the issue to me.
Something new to try next time at the range

Install a throttle lock, then you can maintain speed and draw. The hard part is getting it back into the holster. I've been playing around with mounting a holster to my tankbag.

I've done a lot of thinking about your post and worked on some different techniques and for me i found that while riding i can draw my pistol from my shoulder holster with my left hand while under my left arm even though its considered a right hand draw holster , I'm thinking only in the most crazy extreme cases would this ever happen but its nice to know it can be done if needed , and the laser on the pistol will help with offhand aming and shooting ,

Heated winter gloves will not fit inside trigger guard for me ( KAHR P.380). Summer gloves fit but very awkward.., faster and more accurate to lose a glove.
Tankbag while riding? The small Givi tank bag is small enough to carry into resteraunt or gas station and comes off and on with literally a touch.
BTW Ron, Are you teh gentleman I met this year on teh dark blue ZX at redding Drag Strip? I was old guy on a 2013 Green 14

And here I was thinking the ZX14 is faster than a speeding bullet ................ Thus I hav only ever practiced rolling the right hand on as fast as possible while attempting somewhat unsuccessfully at times, to keep the front wheel somewhere near the ground.

So if you fired a round, would the bullet leave the gun?
Yeah ... and if you fired a round and it DID (somehow) leave the gun, would you eventually pass the bullet?
