Hi all. Well ,the co-pilot and I are heading out next week for 4 days of cornering fun in Northern California. Going to either head up Hwy 1, or, if foggy, up Hwy 101 and ride through the famed Avenue of the Giants. Then, either keep going up to Crater Lake in Oregon or head over to Redding on Hwy 299,( HUNDREDS of turns an that one) and on to Lake Almanor.
I just picked up a Connie seat so I'll let you know how that worked when we get back.
So, if you're up that way, keep an eye out for a red flash on the twisties!!!

Is the part of Highway 1 you might ride on the northern part?

I lived a couple decades in Monterey and later San Jose, CA, and we used to ride down Highway 1 headed south to places like Nepenthe and on down to Ventura.

The problem was there were so many cages that most of the time it wasn't much fun.

Yeah, if we do Hwy 1 it will be from San Fran to Fort Bragg. But I ain't going on it if it's foggy. A wee bit too chilly to enjoy when it's dripping. SO far, it looks like it may be clear so we may do Hwy 116 along the Russian River to Jenner and turn north there. We'll see.
