The only bike I have ever owned that Never, Never, Ever Let Me Down. I'm a little sick over it.

Too bad you cannot ride both of them at the same time.
Did you sell her on cycletrader ? I think that is where mine is going when I'm ready, its going to take exposure to a big audience to find the one person who as picture in his/her mind that matches the pictures in the posting.

Would be nice lol. My thought was to keep her. U know, your race bike is your race bike and your daily driver stays always running lol. Then, I got my Monthly Insurance Bill. Wow, just over a Grand a Month. Yikes. Insane.

No, sold it on kijiji. In One day I had 8 calls. First guy rushed over from 400 kilo away and took the bike.
Believe it or not I think what sold the bike was the tail light and Hids. That was a bit of a head scratcher for me but it was the First thing he looked at. Go Figure.
If selling mention Hids in your add, people love that stuff lol.

Ouch, that can't be for just the bikes. Well, sounds like you made an equitable deal on the sale at least. Must be tough to let go of her.

I think my garage will be empty sometime in the late winter, early spring, and then be occupied by a BMW K1600GTL with all the options. And still 250ish pounds wet lighter than an Electra Glide or Goldwing.
I could do a K1300 but I just can't resist all the bling options. Heh.

Was wondering WTH you were thinking when you mentioned buying that Hog... The Beemer seems a much better fit.

No, not just bikes. Covers whatever needs covering. 1600 for each of the 14s and 1200 for the sixer and 350 for the YZ450. What are you guys paying in States, or do I want to know ?

Hmm the C14 is a horse of a different breed and color, and I'm not sure I'd be happy with the seating position.
But, when I know what my actual budget is, I'm sure I'll ride one of everything to decide.
Someone joked they knew I'd ride a 2012 ZX14R at a 2012 Ticket2Ride event, which is true. And I'll ride a 2012 C14 too. Should be one nearby, like in Bowie MD, in the early spring hopefully.
As for the BMW K1600GTL, its got a very low seat on it, which would be great for me. And I love the sound of the straight six on it.
But this is about Roman's new hole in his garage, which no doubt corresponds to a hole in his heart.

Really... I was surprised, too... This year was actually the first that I have ever insured my bikes... Her record is clean, BTW... And keep in mind, those #'s are only for the bikes... After getting my new truck, my auto policy jumped to $860 per month!
edit: I forgot, she has an at fault accident. I have no accidents but more tickets than there are strip clubs in Vegas.

Whew didn't know insurance was that high north of the border. I couldnt afford to ride. I pay $911 for a year on both my bikes full coverage 08 ZX14,and 09 R6. I'm in Virginia and our riding season is 10 mos for the most part. Off topic but do they still do the carabana in Toronto? I'm originally from Buffalo N.Y. remember some really good times in Toronto.

I am guessing my new yearly will be around 340-ish or a bit lower for the bike, and I pay 280-ish / year for my car. Both on the same policy with State Farm, both with true full coverage. I overstated my policy cost, above, I'm only paying 368 / year now.
When I buy a new bike in 2012, it will go up to maybe 425, if that, because when I brought the brand new ZX14 to them in 2008, it was only 390-ish and has slowly gone down each year. I am assuming I sell the ZX14 on cycletrader (or...?) or take it off the road.
Benefits of a) experience, b) only 1 ticket for a stoplight in 40 years, c) insuring a car and a bike same policy, d) State Farm who has best rates in the industry, and e) living in the sticks where rates are lower to begin with.
Actually, taking the ZX14 off the road might be a cool idea. I could strip it bare, ship the engine to Carpenter Racing, maybe by then A&A will have a ZX14 supercharger, and then drag race it. There are 3 strips within an hour, all 1/4 mile (though one alternates 1/8 mile in-season) I could easily trailer to.
I used to love drag racing, though I was doing it on a wing and a prayer (not a single safety wire) so this time I'd like to do it right, and go for button shifting and one of those custom ECUs, bigger throttlebodies, drag slick, wheelie bars, maybe even go to alcohol, which would let me dump the radiator.
Wow, that gives me a chill just thinking about it.
