SuperSprox for best of durability and weight savings. They are aluminum with steel teeth riveted on. However, as you know, in the world of speed, there is always trade offs between strength/weight/reliability/performance.
I don't care muchh at all about durability. As long as whatever is that is gonna wear out is replaceable, I'll try it once. If it is unreliable or unsafe.....well..that requires a lot of careful consideration and questioning of other owners before I decide to go for it.
Aluminum is lightest but the teeth wear out a lot faster than steel. Vortex aluminum is going to save you the most weight. Have 10,000 miles on mine and I think I might get another 10K out of it. I don't overtighten my chain and I keep it clean and lubed regularly pretty much.
This is 45Tooth, mind you. 41 tooth will be lighter.
My 45Tooth AFAM aluinum
Stick to steel for the front (I think that is all that is available in countershaft sprockets).

I like the extra hardened black aluminum from Vortex.43 teeth.I've got about 4000 miles on mine and still looks good.

The rubber dampers on a front sprocket are for noise abatement, not vibration. EPA-mandated noise-level test are done with a drive-by, so anything that reduces noise helps pass the test. If the whirring chain noise doesn't bother you, don't sweat the rubber dampers.

I went about 7-8 K on my SuperSprox 17T before I started noticing the whiirrrrrrr on decel.
I don't consider it objectonable. Then again, I don't consider the sound of my exhaust objectionable and it is def one of the loudest. I really don't think you will notice much output sprocket noise most of the time unless you have a really quiet bike. It comes from the short radius that the chain has to turn on the small sprocket. 16T should be a little worse for that reason.

There really is no 'best' just get what you want/need.
I also went with a supersprocket.(Durable and cool looking) Gold & black with gold X chain. If I could do it again I would go with a rubber dampened stock countersprocket. Get a slight vibration, only noticeable because these bikes are so smooth to begin with.

Elroy, I got lots of replies here and at zx14.com. There were diiferent opinions but The EK ZZZ was mentioned over and over. The fact that it NEVER needs to be adjusted was brought up a number of times. I had mine on there with the Vortex 45T, 10K miles and I just now adjusted it a little bit.
You have the best chain if durability is the issue. All I can say bad about it is that it seems to get rust spots on the rollers a lot easier than the OEM chain. Just keep it dry as much as possible, go ride a bit after bathing yer baby. The rust spots disappear right away if they ever show up after you got caught in the rain.
best of all, it's just as light as the OEM
Here's the OEM
...and here is the grease packed ZZZ.
