Negative bean,I have just the stock cans and midpipes.

Bean, I went with a Yoshimura slip-on because the full Yoshi gave only acouple more HP on top with a loss of lowend. The stock '06 headers are very good and best part no cats. You should be able to find a set, lots of 06 owners went with a full system and would like to sell the stockers.

HI there kruz yeh mate I asked Hub on the hp post a couple of questions regaurding that subject maybe as your such a dedicated bike owner and where talking about that subject if ya don't mind I'LL run it by you cobbar I see in the dyno results everyone else seems to have gained a lot more HP than me so I'm wondering when Goody took my 09ZX to get the PCV installed then dynoed it only increased by 10 hp so as you just implied ya only get a bit more from a full system and privateer says slip-ons do not much else ! so I asked HUB if Gutting the cat out of my header and re-dynoing it would this help ? I've since gone right through the questions posts and found that he already came to the conclusion it dont make any diff as the 08 onwards had a slightly larger headerpips to compensate for the cat restrictions, so all in all why does all the other dyno results make mine look so poor?

Have you checked for a dead Kuala Bear blocking the airbox inlet? Don't know Bean mate, looks like you may have been rooked, uhhhh sorry Rook. Seriously though, there are more variations in dynomometers than their are in bikes. You say you picked up 10 HP with just a PC5? I'd say that's pretty good, I don't think I picked that much up with PC3 and pipe, TRE and remap. I'd have one of your mates with a known good running bike run back to back on the same dyno, same day and do a comparison. Better yet, how does the bike run against your mate's on the street or strip? Try synchronized rollons from various speeds in different gears to find out how strong your bike is at different points in the curve and this eliminates the effects of relative skill when doing a drag start. Dynos can lie but the road doesn't. Who mapped your bike after the PC5 update? Mapping makes a huge difference in peak hp and torque figures as well as crisp throttle response. I'd forget gutting the cat, go with a set of Yoshi or other slipons and get them ugly stock chrome bazookas off of there. You'll thank yourself the first time you nail the throttle, the sound alone will give you goosebumps... if not, check your pulse.

Even when my bike was STOCK kruz my bike thrashes Goody 08xjr1300 (muscle bike )without any problem since he picked my pcv dynoed bike up, he phoned my mobile in Tasmania to say it's got heaps of cohooners now and goes to fast for his liking ha ha it.s just so strange how the read out is so different from the others in the dyno part but when I took her out two days before my operation I was impressed with the way she goes now . ITS not really a problem just thought there could be a simple reason why the readouts are so varied

PSHawwwwww-- I wouldn't put all your faith in a dyno sheet. Just gives you an idear of how your bike stacks up against another bike that was tested on the same dyno/same day/same temp.

You got 10 hp off a PC and slipons?? That sounds like you must have gotten a great tune. AFAIC, the only reason to get on a dyno is for a tune. I'm not worried about the exact numbers for my setup. According to the creator of my map, it should yield +17 hp which is about what most full systems claim. I think the weight loss of a full system is at least as important as the hp increase. That's another reason to save a spot in the corner of the cellar for that stock header.

......far as the dyno,,,it's the dif between the ###, not the actual number itself. +10 means more than whatever the exact number is. Tight dynos, loose dynos, humidity, etc,etc,etc,,,,,,

Not a prob rook an kruz she annihilates my mates 2010 GSX750R, 04CBR1100XX, 2008& 2010XJR1300 & 08 R1 WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE I suppose I should be happy with 165 HP @ rear wheel as it,s 41 hp more than my 2004 CBR1100xx, IT would take something with a lot of extra $$$$$$$$ to leave me in the dust LOL just a spoilt big kid (really at 5'7" small) he he and no kruz thats with !

My apologies mate, I must have missed the Leo Vince pipes in earlier photos, I thought you were talkin about gutting the stock pipes. Bike looks great and I wouldn't worry about the dyno numbers unless your mates are testing significantly higher on the same dyno, same day. Some dynos just read high, we call them "happy dynos" and others read a bit low. Operators love dynos that read on the optimistic side, it sells their tune and pleases customers. Bottom line is it sounds like your 14 really hauls the mail and that's all that really counts.
