Got a long run coming up in July. What's the best way to listen to music under that helmet. Love some suggestions...
Ps I have never listened to tunes while riding, so I am out of touch!

I use my iPhone and a set of in ear beats. Flawless when combined with the itube app. Links your YouTube account and caches ur playlists, seemless hd playback with sequencing, so no having to play one song then another. There. Now ur up to speed. ;)

Any low profile ear buds will do. Skull Candy make decent ones that aren't too expensive. I just connect to my phone and away I go. I haven't had a blackberry in years, you should be able to loads tunes into it, no?
900km (560 Miles) today up through Algonquin Provincial Park. Tunes blasting the whole way!

I have tried all kinds of different stuff, including plugfones. They're earbuds that are built into foam earplugs.
Fussing with music volume, wind noise and earbud fit drives me crazy. The only thing I can seem to get comfortable with is regular old foam earplugs.

Install a helmet communication system.
Bluetooth the phone, mp3; listen to radio and bike to bike intercom capable.
Phone home..........ET!

I have a pair of Panasonic RPHC-55 noise-cancelling earbuds hooked up to an Ipod Nano controlled by an Ijet remote on the left handlebar. 14 hours of music rocorded keeps me rockin'down the road.

All true, it's not the arrival, but the chase of those numbers that inspires us to be better. The fun is in the pursuite and not the destination. Dig my brotha.
I think I have 100lbs on yah. The BST are also outrageous (I checked em out a few nights back, very, very nice!) Anyways listen for a 14 early Sunday and you'll see me chasing those numbers.
Mad love,

I have an iPhone 4s that I use as a GPS, mp3 player, and phone when riding. I was using a $20 pair of Sony earbuds which sealed out noise well, but they didn't have a mic or controls for volume so I started looking for a better option. The headset that came with my phone didn't work well because the earbuds didn't seal and wouldn't stay in my ears or block noise.
I found the new version that apple has now, called EarPods. They are shaped better and interface perfectly with the iPhone with mic and remote controls. The problem is that they don't block out external noise because they don't seal either. I bought this stuff called Sugru, it's an air curing rubber that can be formed by hand like clay. I used it on the EarPods to make a custom fit for my ears like you'd pay $100 or more for. It cost $10 on ebay.
Been using these for about 5 months now and it's been great. Very comfortable, blocks most helmet noise, and they don't fall out. The controls on the EarBuds let me change volume, make and receive calls, skip tracks, etc. The phone works well up to 30mph, then the mic pics up too much noise. I can still hear the other person over 30mph (even over 70), but they can't hear me.

My wife doesn't talk in the venerable words of the beast, she is a social cabbage. Good that you have a honey that likes to chat. For me it's strictly music. You all have given me lots to think about. A big thank you to all!
