Very nice. I really like the sound of that Tsukigi. Ever had it dyno'ed from factory to see the difference?
For YouTube vids, I think you just click the chain icon for link and post accordingly, but I thought that's what you did there?

Thanks for assist on embedment, bg. I just tried to do what I think you did and it made the vid disappear from your post and nothing but code on mine. I'll have to get details from you next time I have film to post.
..or the chain icon with code will give a nice link with custom wording:
Sunset Ride ...but not embedded.
Ah yes, lmind2 sounded familiar. For some reason scottjkyl's coment appeared as spam alert on my YouTube page. I pressed "show comment" button.
The sound captured by the camera was highly acceptable and I think some pretty good speeds were attained. Sound did not seem to suffer at all from buffeting--maybe because the CAnnon is so freaking loud. Weird thing happened last night-- I filmed the ride at dark and video quality was horrible as expected-- the lighting situations change too dramatically without sun and then all the sudden you're under a street light. The Sound seemed very tinny also. Just did a test this morn and sound seemed fine. I suppose it doesn't matter if the sound is bad since nightime video is all around sucky in the first place.

like the sound of that Tsukigi. Ever had it dyno'ed from factory to see the difference? No dyno but I could sure feel the dif. Seemed more powerful throughout the powerband. There has always been a lag before 3500 rpm. Flies in and out. The fuel moto stock map was a slight improvement. The Tsukigi and map from HPC was a little better yet but as I got used to the setup and started wringing it once in a while in 1st gear low speed, I could still feel a sizeable burst of power once I broke 3500 rpm. I just accepted the first fuel trims from my Autotune today and the extreme bottom end smoothed right out. The HPC map was for flies in and I think that was adjusted to my flies out bike fairly well.
Rook what kind of camera do you have is it the HD version or just the normal one? That is the Hero HD. It has a wide angle lense and is capable of HD recording. I am going to buy a regular GoPro soon. Plan to be doing some major vid projects. Maybe be running 3 or 4 cams on the bike.
It was really helpful to have the Mac and iMovie software to edit. I have heard the GoPro is much better suited to use with a Mac (at least it's better at doing something than a PC!)

It looks like your HD is "possibly" a better quality camera than the GoPro standard. My GoPro vids are a tad bit jerky...you can see it when your running the vid. It's not REAL bad,but it's there.Yours looks very smooth. If I were you,I wouldn't buy the GoPro standard(motorsports model).Another one just like you've got would be nice IMO.

AH-- thanks, Blue. I had seen GoPro vids that seemed to skip ~ every 8th frame or so...like film from an old hand crank driven movie cam. I was not sure if that was from the camera or just the result of viewing on the net. The Hero HD runs without the skipping. I may pick up the standard GoPro if the guy will sell for cheap. Otherwise, I may get a second GoPro HD
or perhaps even a full on vid cam. I picked up the memory card for the GoPro at Best Buy and noticed they had some nice looking cameras there for about the same price as the GoPro. Probably with many more features and capabilities like Nightshot , Zoom, etc... All of the new video cams are tiny. Not nearly as small as the GoPro but def small enough to be applicable to filming from the bike.

Another Mac guy - yay! FYI - I'm the resident Mac go-to guy here at NASA so if you ever need help, holler.
What did that Tsukigi end up costing you, parts and labor - whole nine?
What's an Autotune? Is it this thing?

What did that Tsukigi end up costing you, parts and labor - whole nine? The system was 830. I also had them ceramic coat it for 300 + they had an o2 bung welded in for me which cost an extra $50. I put the system on myself. The fit was perfect. No problems.
What's an Autotune? Is it this thing?Yup. that's the thing I got. If you start mixing and matching Dynojet modules, I can only recommend calling and asking DJ which ones are compatible with your setup or planned setup. There is Autotune (actually, I think there is AT-100 and AT-200), Wideband 2, and they both are the same exact thing except for their compatibility with other DJ products. It gets very confusing and most owners don't want to mess with self tuning. I haven't gotten a lot of reliable info on self tuning on forums be cause most people don't get into it.....so call dj. All I can say is that it certainly did seem to work for my setup. Ijust started playing with it though so stay "tuned" for further developments.
Autotune
One more comment on auto tune--everyone seems to agree that you must start from a good tune or map. That's what I am doing. We had a guy who was creating his own tune from scratch using AT but he never finished because the bike threw a rod due to bearing failure.

With some of the camera shaking, kind of put things into perspective on just how much the suspension is working. The amount of heat from friction (suspension articulating) is incredible.
Rook, the bike sounds great, almost like an old Z1-900 with a kerker header, (been there done that). The sound is like a tribute to the old kauws, (the original super bike). Not to take anything from Suzuki's GS, or Honda's CB's. The kawi just has it's own muscle bike sound.

Of course it was all done under 120mph--no laws were broken when that vid was made. as far as i know??? That's not even me riding the bike. Some guy took the bike with the cam running.
That guy came back and took my bike again, camera still running. I'm editting together the footage for next vids - side fairing cam position. They don't seem quite as interesting as the last ones but I'll try to make it interesting. Someone ought to teach that guy how to open the throttle and do a wheelie.
