A couple years ago I laid the zx14 down in a dirt/grass parking lot as I was stopping. No major damage, just scratches to the mid and lower fairings. I've continued to ride but I've always been on the lookout for replacement fairings. Buying brand new OEM just wasn't in the cards because the scratches weren't too bad and I didn't want to fork out that kind of dough. eBay occasionally had 08 se fairings but always the wrong side. Finally, I ran across a bike that wrecked on the right side and the left was flawless. I picked up both the mid and lower fairing for $112!!! Damn it was nice saving a few hundred dollars!
Tomorrow the "new" fairings go on and my baby's blemishes go away! Just in time for my trip next month.
