Hello to all. Im sure the topic has been beaten to death but Im wondering. I have a left over '12 in my area and the dealership will not go lower than 12k otd. Is that a good price? Thanks for you opinions.

It's according to what you mean by OTD
Does that include tax, title, license, etc?
If so, that's s decent deal but I would think you could keep looking for a lower price. But at the same time, New leftover 12s are obviously getting s bit harder to find,
To some, OTD means everything. To others that term don't include tax

There's a 2013 ABS with 1200 miles on it for 10k in the for sale section. Seems like a great deal.

I'm do confused on the pricing for the zx14r. When I purchased my bike in April this year, there were 4 zx14r on the floor. The new 2013. Sticker for 3 including mine was $12,400 plus all other fees. Today the 3 bikes are still there but no now they are listed for $13,500. WTF?? Why would you raise the price? 2 other dealers have 2013 still and want $15k+. California is f#*@ed up.

The 2012 green SE is rarer then the other colours,in2012 that was the only model brought into Canada.with exchange rate taxes etc we get raped.I was very fortunate and paid just over 17 OTD.if it is the green SE 2012 tht price doesn't seem that bad

MrWoo, a few things I can think of would make the price go up from April till now.
1. I believe the incentives have fallen off.
2. Its summer = prime buying time.
3. with the end of the production cycle, models may be drying up = supply and demand. Also as the supply of '12 and '13 models dwindle, this will leave only '14's and they may be reluctant to give as good a deal.
4. Word may be finally getting out to the masses about how much these things kick the Busa's ass and more and more are selling? lol.
Just my .02. I'm no expert, and haven't been paying close attention; but this would be a good start to explaining why they cost more now.

I have the 2013 golden blaze green. I drove all the way to West Virginia from Baltimore to get it. I honestly didn't want green. But I wanted abs and the black ones they had left over didn't have abs. I could have gotten the non abs for 10500 otd. But I paid 11500 for the abs one. This was in march of this year. 2014's at the same dealer were 15999. I had to pay 900 in tax, tags and title when I registered the bike in Maryland. So about 12400, total is what it costs me. I'll tell you what else, pics don't do the Green justice. You have to see it in person and see how the gold specks in the paint shine in the sunlight. I love the Green now.
