Found this on my garage floor next to my bike lift, not sure how long it's been there. Last thing I did to my bike was install my quick shifter, I had to disconnect the connectors/plugs on the coils. Does this look like it came from there? Bike still runs perfectly. I'm the kinda guy that will tear my bike apart to find where this belongs so any help would be appreciated.

You got it. Those are called, 'weatherpac' parts. Where there are boots over the wires so when you take a shower with your bike the sensor pins stay dry. Pull the plug off and look for the orange boot missing inside the clip connector.

Great site this because while I was installing my quickshifter I saw one of these on the floor and new what it was instantly from this thread...

I wonder what would happen and how long it would take if these were left out?

Depending on what kind of humidity you have...probably not long before a short appears...weeks?Not to mention any kind of water getting in there from washing(one time possibly).Lots of volts and amps going through there....just looking for a shortcut.

Are these available as a stand alone spare part or do they only come with the wire loom?
If available on their own does anyone know the part number?
I wouldn't mind a couple of spares.

It's actually a part of the socket housing.Separate part number?IDK.Maybe.

Just checked...it isn't a separate piece.You could buy a cheap used harness somewhere and get em.MAYBE...your dealer could order some saying it's for their shop harness or something...they might be able to get em without the wiring?You can see...they DO come out.

You know...I have a harness here from an 07 model...same seals in there...maybe I could send em to ya?

Well SHIT!!!!I had it in this box FOREVER up in my closet sitting with the factory harness I got a long time ago....now it's gone.WTF?????

Checked again...it's not here.I must have passed it along to someone...had to be several years ago....I thought for sure it was here...two boxes...one with the main harness...and a separate one with that coil harness.

You need a main harness?....It's got ALL the connectors...all the subharnesses...everything.Used...but in very good shape.Let me know...it's for an 07....it's here if ya need it...;).Only thing missing is....the coil harness.

I checked it out good when I first got it...all the plugs(connectors) and such are undamaged...wires all look very good.
