Jacket for the street

Astars now has a fully CE level 2 option in a textile summer jacket. I have always had perforated leather so i hope i like it. I ordered the ce level 2 back and chest pads also. What do you guys think?

Textile jacket with accordian stitching! Like it! ALways a good idea to have some kind of back and chest protectors if you can. I am really partial to Spidi chest a back protectors. Also, i see you have a close fitting collar. Watch out for summer jackets that have a big low collar because they will fill up like a parachute and try to choke you.

Well jacket came in and it seems ok but its a bit big. I went with the size chart instead of my old jacket size and I should have ordered the same size as my leather. Should get the new one in a few days but overall it seems very nice. Cant wait to see how it flows air.

I work at Cycle Gear and can tell you the only Alpinestars sizing chart that can be trusted is the one for boots. Once you find the size that fits you in jackets, regardless of which jacket it is, all Alpinestars jackets will fit you at that size.

190/55 is overrated. 200/55 is where it is at.

Yea the problem was that i was a 46 on my leather jacket, but the textile goes by xl or 2xl in that size. So basically i guessed big and was wrong. The xl came in today and its just a tad snug but i am running at the top of my normal weight swing currently so its going to work out perfect once i fine tune it with a couple salads. Really nice jacket for a textile.

That's a nice jacket and I like the option that has the yellowish/green little highlights on it. It is a bit expensive for my blood, but of course it is a brand name.

Well last years model going for $150 new on ebay but it was worth it to me as the new one has some key protection upgrades. You are not going to get CE level 2 in all 4 places for less than 400 anywhere else that i know of.

If i thought that high viz would match i would have gone for it. I doubt it though.
