I passed a semi on the right which is not legal, but it is common practice on the expressways around here. As I was passing, I saw some kind of hose off of the truck dragging the pavement at the side up behind the cab on the passengers side of the truck. It was a fuel nozzle, still stuck in the tank on the truck with the hose waggling all around on the ground. I saw some sort of metal fitting on the end of the hose that was dragging. Apparently, this guy drove off without removing the fuel nozzle and just ripped the hose off and took it with him.

I motioned to him and pointed down at the side of the truck. He gave me a thumbs up and switched lanes as though he were going to make an emergency stop. I'm pretty good at reading non verbal ques from people. I would swear this guy was not all that alarmed. I would have SH!T my pants if I looked in my rear view and saw a fuel pump hose dangling from my tank.

Anyone else see any peculiar stuff lately?

oops, I past passed on the RIGHT (which is illegal). I just edited the original post. The hose was also on the right.

I wonder if maybe he was not able to see the hose in his rearview mirror? Maybe he just left the station and assumed I was pointing at a tank which had not had the cap screwed back on. I imagine it was a big surprise when he saw it. What do you do, call the station back in Illinois and say, "hey, I got your fuel nozzle and hose off pump number 9 here."

i don't know if this counts...i was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on a detour because of freeway closer in houston at night .. with my headlight shining strait thru a sporty import car straight in front of me .. with 2 heads male driver and a good looking female passager.. reason i seen women she would look back at me threw THE BACK WINDOW ALOT ..Then the weird head bobbing stuff started happening .. a few minutes would go by and her head would pop up and look around then go down and start bobbing again.. i was going to pull up next to the car and ask if they was OK . but the car was weaving in its lane and i was scared i get crushed ...

i just don't know ..

I thought about calling the ASPCA but the dog seemed cool and he proablly has logged more mile than alot of riders so I figure F*&^ it.

April this year we were 2hrs from home,there was an over taking lane in front it was pissin down,there was a B/DBL in the left lane the spray comming off the truck was that intense we could see nouthin at all, so we went for it , came out the other side thinking after that was the most strange rush it was silly lookin back but the other mates there still talk about it!
