Looking to buy this bike
08/19/15 3:42 AM

Ok don't hate me for posting this here but I figured I would get more feedback in this thread. I'm looking to buy a bike and came across a zx 14 that looks like it has some nice upgrades. I have never bought a modded bike but was hoping you guys could give me some good feedback on whether it's a fair deal...I'm a little skeptical because of the second link I have posted but if the asking price now is reasonable I can't fault the guy for buying it for a steal back when he bought it!

I have no idea why people put that big of a tire on a sport bike. I like to use mine as intended, and actually get out and enjoy it in the twisties. The rest of the bike looks great though.

Why are there two listings? One for $14,000 & the other for $5,800, Skam? Beware! Cool looking bike for shows, not practical for sport riding.

For $14K, you could have a brand-new 14R with a full warranty and none of that silly fat tire and jackshaft shit.

Scam!!!!... I'm from Miami and there's a lot of people out there scamming on bikes... If you're willing to spend that amount (14,000), you're better off buying a new 14R like Danno said. You'll like it better than an 07'..

I bet 1Fat rides something identical to that.

Probably grudge races with the amplifier turned up to 11.

Scam or not, that is a nice bike night cruiser. Looks very nice. No way I'd pay that much for it, tho.

so.....i bought it! i like the look. i didn't plan on doing a lot of riding through the mountains on it just as a fun get me around bike. I do have a couple of complaints about it like the license plate holder is loose probably take it out add a washer except it's all chrome and both sides of the fastener spin when i tighten or loosen. When turning at slower and moderate speeds it seems like the wheel wants to fight me. I'm not sure if it is the length of the bike and fat tire or something else. The last thing is the chain is ever so slightly rubbing the tire, it clears when looking at it but maybe in a turn or high speed it clips it. Overall the bike is very responsive and quick to react to inputs. It's definitely a big change from the gsx 1000 i have been riding but besides those downsides to it i like the bike.

Just curious since you posted 2 listings for what look like the same bike but in different parts of the country which did you buy, the $14000 one or the $5800 one?
