I have an 08 with PCIII and flies out, when hypin up the rpms anything over 2000 and feathering the clutch bike takes off great and sounds great..... but with clutch out and rpms below 2000 and i romp on throttle it sound like (a bad chain saw blade) is the best i can describe in the front part of the engine, and kinda hasatates a bit but once it reaches 2000rpms the noise goes away and the bike takes off... is this normal or is there something wrong with my bike???????

If its not detonation then yea you want to have it looked at.
What type of fuel are you using? and is the motor cold, hot or doesn't matter when it lugs down that low?
Its most likely pre-ignition which in itself is not good! so if your running good fuel then have her checked and don't let it keep doing that or it could/will cause engine failure.
Let us know what you find ............

Below 3000 rpm is the weakest part of powerband. Inline 4s never had a great rep for awesome low end power. All engines benefit from at least a little spool up, even the V twins that many people seem to think have a quick low. I never hit my throttle hard right from an idle unless I feather the clutch as you say, to keep the rpm up. That is way more starting power than is necessary for street. Gassing and clutching is getting to be a drag race launch. Your bike should dust most street cages off the line without using much clutch at all.

One other thing I can telll you. The stock mapping on my G2 caused a noticable spike in power at 3500 rpm. Flies out / flies in same thing. Went to PCV with map from a tuner and the surge was still there a bit. Next switched maps to a new tuner and the lowend got smoother but the surge was not eliminated. What finally smoothed the idle through 3.5K rpm range out for me was my afterr market exhaust and Auto tune. Now, I'm satisfied. Nothing is going to give you the gobs of power the bike has over 3K but IMHO, the G2 have some power that can be extracted to smooth out that lag off of idle.

I would suggest you first try a new map if you feel you have a spike in power at 3.5K rpm. If you are using large throttle openings below 2000 rpm with clutch totally engaged, I think you are expecting a bit much from any bike other than maybe a 2 cycle dirtbike --Maybe?? I poured the juice for a moment at low rpm in 2 or 3 gear and yes, it does not sound pretty to hear her labor.

Your lugging the engine going to sound like and old diesel farm tractor. This engine is not made to lug that low Vtwins protest at that rpm.

AFAIC, there's no real good reason to use anything but premium. 93 or higher octane is recommended by the manufacturer and this is to avoid detonation. Lower grade gas burns better and SHOUlD deliver more power but it can collect and blow at the wrong moment and then you're stuck with a pile of burnt toast. I'll pay the extra 20 cents/gallon to get the high octane. I've run mid grade and regular --never heard a ping with either. Still don't trust them because I sure can tell the pipe crackles way more on mid grade than premium. I don't want that to ever happen in my engine at the wrong time. Couldn't tell any difference in performance when using lower octane either. Race gas is super high octane. You stick to premium and you're running a more high performance gas.
