Hello Everyone!
Just made a deal on a blue '06. I will be flying from San Diego to Atlanta Georgia in 10 days to take delivery and ride it back. Bike has almost 15,000 miles and has just been serviced with new tires and fluids. Really looking forward to the adventure as I am 58 years old. Been riding for over 40 years and presently ride a 2005 V Max just about every day to work and around. My friend and co-worker has a black ZX-12R(I believe it's an '03) with 149,000 miles who will meet me in Dallas,Tx. and ride back with me.I'm really excited about this ride and figured on about 400 mi/day if I can.Wish me luck and glad to be part of this forum.

Thanks dericrey! I notice you're down in some nice country.I'm a native Texan(Rockdale) who got transplanted to Cali in the military(USN),got a job after my hitch and just stayed here. I have a lot of family that still live in Texas.(Pasadena,Rockdale and Red Oak which is south of Dallas. I'm still a Texan at heart and hope to retire there or in Louisiana where my wife is from in a few years.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone! Going to Atlanta on Sunday to take delivery of my new baby and really getting excited about the trip back.Just hoping I get a little relief from the HOT weather.My cuz in Dallas said it was 106 there yesterday. Yikes!

Thanks! Yep,I still got her and honestly don't know if I could ever part ways with her. No where as refined as the ZX 14 and a whole lot different animal. I have the Mark's 4-2 exhaust with stage 7 dynojet on the V Max and the exhaust note is music.
