I just got a 2006 zx-14 It has a pc111 and yoshimira 4 into 1 .Every so often when I decelerate it does a medium sounding (annoying)....The guy I got the bike from said when he programmed it,there was no specific program for this pipe it did small med or large program and he no longer has software or cable....Question is should I just live with this or could I get software and cable and fix this?..if so how?....thanks for any help...I am very new to this even though this is my second zx-14 in a month...that's a long story LOL....thanks again

You must be talking about the decal pop around 3500RPM. Its normal that it does that and it does not hurt anything. Also throws a nice blue flame at night! There are ways to eliminate it. You can buy an Ivan's TRE which will eliminate it or block off the pair valve which will help reduce it. Either way it does not hurt anything.

I don't understand why everyone gets so upset by the popping on the overrun. I actually like it. In my demented mind it kind of sounds like I'm on a MotoGP bike. ( Yeah, I'm Valentino Flossie ). I also have a Yosh full system and it's been popping ever since I bought the bike. I think it's cool, but maybe I'm just a retard...

Downshift at about 7k and roll of the throttle. You'll get a machine gun effect!

bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da!

or if you're clutch shifting fast, you can get a sweet quick CRACKle between gears! very cool.

you wanna get rid of the pop just blip the throttle with the clutch in and you get a nice bark but no pop

Another way is to just NOT decelerate!

1. Live with it or buy/find stock pipes.
2. What rider345 said.

Here is how it works.
Stock - Upon throttle close the fuel setting turns lean down to 18 AFR, for argument sake.
TRE - The bike turns rich on decel, adds fuel to a 16.5 AFR setting. This helps, but you lose maps: which make the bike run/feel smoother. There might be a twitch to the throttle with the alteration. Some like the peppy feel, others prefer smoother running.

PAIR works like this.
Stock - The air actuator adds clean air from a tube inside the ram chamber.
Stop - The air from entering, which causes fresh air to keep igniting the unspent gases, causes the pop or that reignite to happen. This will simmer it down some. Pull the [only] hose under the frame that snakes up from the front valve cover hoses to the hose under the frame's belly. If there are 2 hoses under the belly [we enter the newer gen model], again, start with the hose at the front of the valve cover and follow it up. Cap off the hose, cap off the ram's hole. Let the actuator run or a code will be set if you remove the connector.

I might try a resistor combo setup so the light goes off fandango. Maybe someone may have that figured out by(pass) now?
