My bike is a 2007 and has the M4 slipons with a K&N filter. It looks like the only map the PCIII has for me is the M4 map with a stock filter. Is this going to cause me any issues? For the people running the M4s what map do you use?

Wont cause any problems. For the most part, "air filter" maps have very little to no change. Aftermarket air filters are very very small gains, if any at all.

And fwiw, i have a LOT more done then that, and i don't even have a power commander. Runs great.

Thanks to the excellent "How to" section I also pulled the flies during the PCIII install. I was a tad worried that this would take me further away from the PCIII map for my M4s, but it seemed to work okay. I was only able to run through the rpms in the garage since we got 9 inches of snow this weekend. I will be interested to test this to see how the map works.

The best running Map I could find on Dynojets web site was the M224-014. I know this does not match your description but it did not match mine at the time when I was using it. My bike is also a 2007 and had the flies removed with slip-ons .This was by far my favorite map and believe me I tried them all and also made alot of my own. I was trying to stop the BACKFIRE that was hammering through my new Muzzy slip-ons. I ended up running the bike over 4000K using that Map. I hope this helps.

I appreciate the information Romans. I think I will try your suggestion suggestion as I am not thinking the map I currently have is the best direction to go in. Do you have a custom map now? I probably will try and get down to a tuner once the weather gets better.

I am also wondering what kind of damage I can do to my bike if I get a map that is to lean? Has anyone here ever tried to run their bike with just the flies removed and no PC?

Romans how did the m224-014 compare to the m224-012. I know the 014 is for full muzzy exhaust and the 012 is for muzzy slip-ons. Maybe I should give the 014 map a whirl.

I ran mine for a short period of time without the PC. A friend of mine with an 07' has ran his for over a year and several thousand miles with flies out and slip-ons. Hell I have thought about taking the PC back off.

Damage= Lets not go there. I was told early on from the guys on the old site that the Maps from dynojets web site were safe and RICH. And when you guys get a chance Down load as many maps as you can and do a map compare. Most of the maps are adding fuel.Lots of fuel.Tooooo Much Fuel. IMO .Let the black smoke be your guide.

The M224-014/-012: If you do a map compare,014 is the map that adds the least amount of fuel but still adds. Less black smoke and tack jumps a little faster. Better throttle response.IMO.

I have thought about taking the PC back off.

If you want to feel what the bike runs like with no pc3, Just enter a all zeros Map. You do not need to remove the PC. Take the bike for a ten minute blast then reinstall a new map . Go back and forth till you are happy.

Nothing is going to beat a pro dyno tune..... OR..... get one from Ivan or Brock . In the End this is what I did. I hope this helps.

Yes they have, but there is a lean spike around 3500rpm.

Romans

That map is awesome, it worked great for me. I ended up riding for about four hours today and had no issues. It delivered a very smooth power band throughout the RPM range.

Thanks again for everyones help.

I'm glad you liked it. I spent a good part of my summer vaction playing the map game . I had the best luck with that little beauty. It was the best free map I could find. It also had the least amount of backfire at 35-38 decell.
