I'm not being secretive...

Just not talking much! haha

So here's the build:
Muzzy 1570cc stroker/big bore kit. 3 mil over bore and 5 mil stroke.
Muzzy big billet cams
Carrilo Rods
Carpenter dual valve springs
Balance shaft eliminators
billet velocity stacks (went billet for the nitrous nozzles)
NOS wet kit
NOS mini nitrous controller
Head studs
Mcintosh swingarm
Penske shock
Shinko drag radial

Don't have the swingarm, shock, or tire on yet. Don't even really have it final tuned yet. But went out and ran 8.77 @ 157 mph footshifting cause the airshifter didn't want to work, and with a crappy 60'.

There ya go, no secrets here

You both are are on a new builds. What comes out of this box should be Awesome,,,,? Won't stay junk, just a new starting point. Bigger better soon to arrive of that I'm sure. You can't run 8s and go back to 10s,,,, Say it isn't so.

I've read, turbo cams and race cams are pretty close to each other... Anyway... I'm curious about that head, Slow. We touch the head in any way with a die grinder? Piss is me off I have to be just as secretive about setup. I'm going to take the clandestine route, you figure out the combination you have now. Like you said, Slow, you went out for a shakedown run. This is not the setup, per-say.

Say we have big lift lobes and... Anyway... Did we match a bigger port for a bigger lift kind of, 'big billet' combination?

i didn't slow down that fukkin slow .. bone stock 280lbs rider 2 passes .. 1 pass was crap cause of a mis-shift . 2nd pass 9.74 @ 136 mph bone-stock motor bike with a 1.65 60 ft .. i didn't make no more passes cause i rode it to the track 200 mile round trip ... but i'm sure i can do 9.50's and pick -up some more mph .. but everybody that runs regularly there ..was off 4 mph from normal because of weather conditions. humidity was 100 % fog ..

anyways that bikes a streetbike

i purchased another zx14 wreck thats going to become MR. Fugly looks like hubs bike but it will have a blower on motor not on seat

Had the shinko ultra soft last year and loved it. But the track had to be there or else it wouldn't work. pulled a 1.39 60' on one.

Head work, well not much. Just blended the bowls and smoothed the ports up. I was being told that you'll hurt the 14 if you work the head any. Now that its all said and done, and back in the bike other people are telling me there's anywhere from 10-25 hp in the head on my bike. Sheesh.

Romans, i really dont do pictures. Its hard to say but i just don't. I mean, thinkin about it i should have, cause it is all pretty cool sheit. But, didn't think about that during assembly.

Hub, the 8.77 was my 3rd pass with this motor. I finally troubleshot my shifting problem to the MPS autoshift kill box. Its not killing the ignition like its supposed to.The 8.77 was with a 1.54 60', and it was on motor, and footshifting. Where as the 8.63 last year was with a 1.43 60', shifter was flawless, and a 40 shot.

Couple of company's really want to get their head on my bike. guess we'll see how it goes.

What are you waiting for? HP is in the head. One head is better than the other and that is out of the same company, meaning. Like a snowflake, each is different, but only one is going to run better than the other and that is same guy with the same porting tools doing the work.

true.

but $1600 for 10 hp is hard to swallow.

I can just spend $20 on nitrous jets that give me 10 more hp

... but $1600
But nothing. Get off your butt, send in a resume and make a proposal. If you have two companies willing to help with a cut in parts and stuff, that's pretty good. After all, you are not running nationals [who have your freebies] while you are just running on a few tracks in the state.

If you were running some class and toured the circuit, then for sure, between the two companies, one would jump on if you showed your commitment. If you just sit there and break a record, you shelling out 16 big ones, the next year parts might be free. Hell, I'd sign you up, Slow.

It's all politics. My guy and I were just discussing that. He's telling me guys just don't sell themselves like the old days. But I think nothing has changed. You just have to prove you have the drive, heart, potential and then they believe it too.

Hey, I tried to get product just on loan. Guy asked me what it was going to be used for and I told him I'd have to run the Top Gun line on him. So I could not discuss the, why. It was more like politics or that same wall you might run into; as if anything has changed.

Run what you have. See how it goes. You gotta do more with less. Rider brings it home, not necessarily the parts installed.
