My Muzzy frame sliders dont fit, they are to tight around the black plastic shroud by the goerge foremans. I am having 5mm machined from the side of the alloy section 40mm long to clear this. I will take photos when I get them back.

I bought mine direct from muzzy and they fit perfectly, no cutting no nothing. The bolts were kinda hard to get out of the bike in the beginning because of all the res lock tight on it but once I got both sides off install was a breeze. If your doing it yourself make sure to thread in carefully an not strip anything because then it turns into a nightmare

LSL sliders are expensive but they are designed specifically for each and every model they make a slider for. They have a vinyl pad which cushions the initial shock and also inhibits spinning of the bike as it slides. Has 2 mount points so there you have another frame crack protection feature. The pucks and the brackets are extremely light. The friggin bolts are where all the weight comes from. I'm estimating ~2lbs.
A lot of folks prefer to go without sliders because no matter what you get, the brackets are so long they exert a great deal of leverage on the frame and bust it quite easily (so they surmise--I have yet to hear of anyone complain that their frame broke from sliders). Some have soft metal bolts and others are made to break before the frame would---good ideas but possibly going to fail in the process of saving the frame.

Yup like Rook said. GSG's are quite expensive I know they use them for the track. Thank god I only had to use them once on my ZX12 but with that being said. I have GSG's on all my bikes and they tell me that they will have an answer for me next week on the ZX14r.

Do you use LSL Rook?
I thought frame sliders were only good for a tip over,in a moving crash don't they do frame damage? From what I have heard, that is a possibility. The 14s fairings are very deep and require some pretty long sliders to reach out far enough. I have read of owners who avoided a lot of damage by using sliders as well. I'm sure it depends a lot on the brand of slider and also how rough of bumpy the pavement is.
I'm sure a garage tip over could bust the frame because if sliders just as well as a 130 mph track lowside. It's a gamble no matter what you do. The fairings might take the brunt of the crash but they may shatter or they may burn down to nothing.. The only sure defense is to not crash.
that has worked for me so far, thank you God.

I just sold my Militant Moto Barrier Bars to a member. They are the cats meow of slide protection.
If you put sliders on the rear wheel, and Barrier Bars on the front, you can lay it down (please don't, just saying) at 20 mph and it will just take metal off the Barrier Bars.
I'm not even sure how easy it is to get them anymore, but they are beefy, light, mount in 4 spots, and you should google them and see them, because nothing else comes close.
