That looks like one beautiful track and those guys make me look pretty bad without even trying. What the heck kind of jacket does that guy have on? Looks like feathers.

RIGHT ON!!!!That's the best on board cam footage I've seen of a real track day!SWEET!!Is he ridin a 14?....probably not, right? It sounds like a 14 when he gets on it in the straights.I can really see the difference there in that "track layout" and some of the roads up here.VERY similar actually. But I wouldn't even really try to get my baby around these roads like they were doin.If it weren't for the oncoming traffic factor....I could "possibly" see it.Great vid Scott!!!
BTW...how ya likin that throttle mod?You know...your bike is setup very similar to mine.Wish we could get out and go someday!

Me too...except I don't give a fork about what the wife thinks 'cuz now she is an ex. I need a 600. or a 2011 ZX-10 would be just what I need. The problem is storage space (and money, of course).

Great video! I love track days, though I won't be able to go this year due to the expense of fixing the Busa after piling it up at the track last year.
I need a track bike too. May see if I can come up with a salvage title 600 of some sort next spring.

what does salvage title mean? Wrecked bike? Not restored to ridable condition?
I'll take a stab at it. Salvage means, this title holds crash papers. It has been in an accident. It is like a wall of an old house you keep as 'grandfathered in' so as it is a salvaged house but all brand new short of the wrinkles on that one wall. So, if it is bent, you may have to prove it is not with a piece of paper that says it is within spec as in not bent and runs sideways down the road.
Ever see those cars? Crashed and crinkled with salvaged fenders that were not smashed. Assemble the car and now if it is roadworthy, better prove every corner it's straight and safe to use. Loved seeing those 4 wheels behind a car looking like it's about to turn but never does. It just moves along all straight ahead but in a drift.

3/4 of the "race" class track bikes at our local (if you can call 200 miles away "local") track have salvage titles.
If a bike has been declared a "total" by the insurance company, and it is resold, it is sold with a "salvage title" which renders it un-licenseable for street usage.
Example of a "totaled" bike. A 3-4 year old Gixxer 600 that had been stolen. Thieves had yanked the bars back and forth until they'd elongated the hole in the steering head tube that the ignition lock pin went into. "Frame damage".. totaled. It had a scratched right side fairing and the elongated lock pin hole, otherwise a pristine, low mileage, Gixxer 6. Perfect track bike in the neighborhood of $2500-$3000.
