I was interested to see the results of this compared to the other poll about why buy the ZX14. My experience is that in spite of my intentions, I am riding more aggressively now, and that if you don't want to go fast this is probably not the motorcycle for you because of how it gets under your skin. Your mileage may vary.

I think you have to have a bit of hooligan in you to even buy one of these things. It is a great bike for bringing out peoples daring streak though.

I am riding more aggressively now, and that if you don't want to go fast this is probably not the motorcycle for you because of how it gets under your skin. Your mileage may vary.

Might be better for all involved that I live somewhere with only 7-8 months of riding. As the summer ticks to a close, I find myself weaving through traffic and passing between some pretty small spaces crossing two lanes at a time close behind other vehicles which pretty much means I can't see what kind of road conditions will end up right in front of me when I complete the pass. I have to hold back from passing in the corners on the cloverleafs. I know I'm starting to piss other motorists off. They hate the invasion of their personal space especially when they don't have a chance to zip around like I do.

..and it is Harley anniversary hoopla fest with a bunch of fat girls riding two up with ridiculous tramp stamps showing. That's all the more people I will have to piss off with my riding.

This bike has definitely awakened the inner hooligan in me. There are days when I tell myself, "I'm just gunna go out on a nice casual ride." Then I find myself at a 100+ constantly. But why? I dunno. It's addictive. The ease at which the power builds and speed soars. Lol, Fuck an easy ride. She wants to stretch everywhere and all the time. Absolutely perfect!

I bought this bird to crest earth's gravitation limits and punch holes in the atmosphere. I was worried if my skill could keep me alive. Now I am pushing this bike like a stallion needing breaking! You guys know where my votes go! Mad love hooligan's!

Rook your pissing off the "right people!"

The way I ride\agressive ride ethic has cost me friends, potential club members and has drawn me into conflict with Harley's, Sport Bikes, Cars and Cops (and one Pit Bull - RIP). However my ride ethic has cemented strong friendships with people that matter, that speak my language and value what I value. These people have my mad respect and keep me fresh, sharp and ready. Never thought a bike and a forum could bring so much conflict and so much joy!

<sigh> I'm not fitting in here...

I take the occasional hole shot at 160, risking my neck, my job (I have a security clearance), and my insurance and bank account.

...and I do it when I've cleared the road, and have what I believe to be "safe passage" as far as I can see.

This is my first foray in Super Sport, and I was *definitely* over my head when I first bought it, even with 15 years riding experience.

I'm over a year in now, and I have what I believe (what I hope) is very tight reign on my right wrist.

But, I'm not fitting in here. I'm not hooligan. I guess that's it. I'll be lurking, and reminding those who can hear me when I tell them to listen to, and believe in, those people that love them. Remember, there's no telling when, or if, you're coming back from beyond. Dont be missed before your time.

According to the poll, meb, you are with the majority. At least the true hoolies are in the minority, with the rest being willing victims of seduction.

Sir! You fit in excellent! Not all are hooligans all the time. I will continue to share, I have had to change and adjust my riding style in a big way since we discussed this last. I'll tell ya something, I was spending probably 3/4 of my rides with my ass off my seat trying to prove I was good enough to myself. I did that. I did it with a bodywork scrape. I heard your voice echo in my head Meb, many times since you made your point to me. I heard you. I have continued to ride as hard as I need to in order to complete some significant PERSONAL goals that I set for myself many many years ago. I have done all that now. I AM MODIFYING. I am slowing down. Mostly in the curves. Keeping myself in check is soooooo hard. I think I got lucky and learned from Meb that I HAVE TO COME HOME. I HAVE TO FINISH EVERY RIDE SAFELY AT HOME WITH MY KIDS. I ride like an ABSOLUTE lunatic sometimes. Not so much lately. Lately I have been getting re-acquainted with maturity. I want to personally cost no one anything. If you stopped posting Meb, I would miss the shit out of you. I hear ya buddy. I have been making progress with my impulse control FOR my family. MEBGARDNER TAUGHT ME THAT. I come home. My risks are less. I mitigated them because I heard ya bud.

Come the fuck on right. If I am smart, I can show my family that too, by turning it into a little wisdom. Given to me by a true man. A friend I haven't shaken hands with yet. Thank you Meb. My wife and daughter and son and dog desmo thank you sir.

Who the heck would be the class clown around here if I threw this away chasing a ghost.

I realized that I have straight been fooling around with Priscilla behind my families back...
Shit.
If I think about it like that, I might even have to get that slut to put her underwear back on. (That's my slang for the safety map).

Nahhhhhh,
That's crazy talk.
