Can anyone recommend me a good set of rear spools for a 2016 zx14?
Thanks.

Well, I'm back buyin' spools. A spool's a spool, pretty much. I have the tiny button Pit Bull spools on my busa. I had little aluminum noname spools for the Gen1 and I went back to the big chunky Vertical Horizons. I really prefer the big delrin slider/spools for functionality. They seem easier to grab and lift and if you ask me, they look right for the 14. Vertical Horizon is what I recommend if anyone is looking for spools and they are now called Pro-tec. I recognize the packaging. It's the same that my old spools came in but the company I ordered from was Vertical Horizon at the time.
Thinking over mods and accessories, I'm leaning real hard toward much of the same stuff I did with my Gen1. It's weird but somehow, I expect to use all different parts on the new bike. I guess you spend as much time as I have thinking about this stuff and you already know what's best for you. Side stand, grips, levers, rearsets...all gonna be the same. When I get another bike, I'll have all the same stuff for it too.

...but actually, when I crashed, those Vertical Horizon slider/spools never touched the ground. There's not a mark on them. Same for the axle sliders. The frame sliders up on the engine mounts took the brunt and one busted off. There's just a small chip out of the frame mount. Personally, I think I'll go without frame sliders on this new bike. It's true, sliders are likely to cause more damage than they save. You need a set of spools though.
