Stock Midpipes Discoloring?
03/16/11 8:32 AM

Hey guys, my 2010 has about 130 miles on it. I noticed that the stock exhaust midpipes are discolored to now a golden color. Is this normal?

Thanks!

Normal.

Don't look at the header.

The mufflers will yellow up a tinge in time too if you have stocks.

Ok cool, Thanks man. Probably change the exhaust out at some point soon anyhow. I guess its just my insanity with keeping the bike looking like new 24/7 hahahahaha.

Thanks Hub!! I love it so far. I knew the first time I saw it last year that Ti/black was my color. I do however like all the 14 color combos. I almost picked up the 09SE Orange/black, but opted to go with this bike.

Use mothers metal polish occassionally on the mid pipes and it will take nearly all of that out.

Thanks Heathun! I have some of that in the garage, I'll give it a try over the weekend.

Don't touch it. It will get worse and ruin the finish. Take a deep breath and leave the bike alone. Hold throttle in hand you want to touch the bike.

Just take the whole thing off before it turns brown. Put a nice full system on there. It will turn a pretty blue at the headers.
