Has anyone had any experience with Carpenter Racing, or RC Performance. I'm going to have work done on the engine, but don't know by who yet. Any input will be welcome

For the 'Any input,' I'd go with Carpenter. The other guy plays with monkeys and probably has no time to invest with machine work like carpenter offers.
At least Carpenter has stage kits for the 14, looking at their website. Street wise you'd need less work. Full out race you'd either send your engine or sent the parts like the crank, head, cylinders, etc.
Porting more works for top end rpm, and would be a waste if for street riding. Call and tell them what you'll most be doing with the bike, meaning, street use, race and street, or flat out the bike being race specific.

I'm local to Bob Carpenter and have been in his shop a good number of times.
He has done engine work and cylinder head porting for me with great results..
He is very experienced and would be an excellent choice.

I had a high boost engine built by Steve Knecum of Knecum performance engines in New Jersey. He's a long time friend of Bob Carpenter who he had do my cylinder head. I've got nothing but the best to say about them both!!
