Deep Throat
12/21/12 9:07 PM

Gentlemen,

I've been shopping for slip ons for my 2008. I love the sound of the Voodoo, but I'm concerned about the outlet being right behind my ankles and lower legs. Does anyone have experience with these?

Also too, the loudness concerns me a bit. M4 Drags, Voodoo and Brock have great sound, but they might be too loud to get away with where I live. In a perfect world I'd have the deepest and throatiest slip on without them being obnoxious.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

They are very loud, but they do come with an ajustable baffle. As far as being by your ankles, no problem at all.

M4 retro drags will be about as light as you will get and set back a bit farther. Best looking exhaust, IMO. Voodoo prolly a bit lighter and I imagine a tad louder.

I decided full system was the only way to go for me. Never buy slipons unless they are really cheap....unless you are certain you will never want to get the further advantage of a full system.

Wessel,

I heard there is an issue with kick stand clearance during install?
Did you experience that?
Any other info you can share about install?

Thanks
N

yes you will have to ajust the slipon to the right position so kickstand won't hit it. the pipes from rear view will not be symmetrical.

Go with the M4 slip ons. I put them on both my ZX-14 and my wife's ZX-6R. WOW ! Awesome sound. With and without the baffles in. And they look great. They blend right in with our Black bikes. Easy to install. I do have a PC5 installed, so you might need to do that. The ZX-6R ran great with out a Power Commander.

You can always put slipons on without a piggy, nothing changes but the decibel level.
