Flat out gearing
12/24/18 5:13 AM

Hi Guys
Standard gearing no speed limiter, red line what speed do you think ?
Im looking at the land speed records for my category and either need to put the stock mufflers back on and beat 330kph or beat 350 kph with my stubbie cans.
Im interested in this dry lake racing thing, the last record was set by a 2012 zx14r and the other a gen 1 Bussa.

Any advice very much appreciated,
I think i can slam it but is it really worth lowering a bike thats built to do 300+Kph?

Thanks lots
Maddy

195-196 mph stock

Check out gearingcommander.com for better estimates. If you change the rear sprocket and drop a tooth or 2 you may hit 200-203 mph

Maddy, when the Gearin Commander site asks for MODEL select NINJA and you can then select ZX14R The only thing I can suggest is that if you make an attempt, be SURE and stay as low on the bike as possible your head being held 3 or 4 inches high can mean a real 2 mph. The correct expression is " Get under the paint !!" :) good luck and let us know if you do..

It is a bit tuffer than hold wide open and hang on :)
