lowering footpegs?

Looking at buying lowering foot pegs.

These ones can lower either 25mm or 40mm, plus shift location back at bit. Only interesting in lowering though.

These ones can lower by 15mm. Are a lot cheaper than above ones and can also shift location back.

Will 15mm be enough or should I go for the 25mm ones. Will 25mm be too much. I know it is a personal choice but I don't want to buy 2 pairs.

Any experiences with either?

Cheers
Nigel

I have a set and was the guinea pig for them. They work well on both the high and low settings. The brake side will require you to put a dent in the exhaust shield down where the peg goes unless you are running an aftermarket pipe. I found the low setting to be too low and I am a tall guy (6'3"). You will have to adjust the shift and brake levers. remember when you adjust the brake lever that it will cause your brake light switch to come on. I removed the spring. If you look at the pics you can see where I dented the cover. I just used a piece of broom handle.

So with stock pipe and only lowering the pegs without shifting them back will they fit without denting the muffler guard?

I believe they would fit if they were a little forward without the "love dent".
