Okay...the new Ninja Parts diagrams are OUT on the Kawi Website.......GASKET,54X62X30...can anyone tell me what this represents?I know it's a measurement...but what? This is the manifold gasket at the collector outlet.

OKAY!!!!!!I got er!...54...inside diameter of the gasket....which of course means.. ..MY NEW PIPES ARE GONNA FIT!!!!!!WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta love it!!!!

What I find very interesting...not that it really matters...but....if you look on the earlier parts diagrams...the gasket size at the collector is NOT given...only a part number.Methinks Kawi wants everyone to know.....aftermarket pipes(slip-ons anyway) are gonna work fine without any BS fitment issues.NICE!When I noticed the midpipe attachment tab on my slips....the elongated bolt hole...I figured somethin was up.The earlier model pipes(CS ONES) that I saw have no elongation...only one drilled bolt hole.Non..adjustable if you will. They're gonna be SWEET on there...light,open flowing .Not to mention...they look friggin BITCHEN!!!!!

Well...I think all the aftermarket pipe companies can NOW say...'our pipes will fit'...at least the slips.Probably gonna see a bunch of pipe makers changing their website's info now.The AFTERMARKET LIVES

Ok, what does the manifold gasket diameter have to do with whether slipons fit or not?

IF the midpipe diameter is LARGER than the ID of the outlet pipe(gasket)...it will fit over the outlet pipe. The gasket ID is the OD diameter of the outlet pipe. Now if you're talking about the HEADER pipes....IDK...I'm not concerned with that. Some of these slip-on systems require NO gasket...only a bonding with something like HIGH TEMP RTV(IF the fitting is snug or very close).Brock's supplies a tube of this very thing with his systems. You also put the RTV on the Midpipe/muffler interface at assembly.

BTW...thanks again Privateer for the heads up about the block heater.I won't be putting that on there.Live and learn I guess. No biggie.Glad I mentioned it here...before I did some serious damage from not knowing.

Hmmm, no fly by wire throttle, no ABS, seems to be a lot of common part numbers... But comparing 2011 diagrams with 2012 diagrams, some of the items that have same/similar part numbers are actually different - like wheels... Actually slightly impressed that the current ECU handles all of the additional functions...doesn't seem like it changed any?
