A ride
09/13/12 5:01 PM

My girlfriend and her sister went out tonight. They went to this place called Pepsi roadhouse. They give you a nice dinner and then a country band plays.Tonight it was Don Williams. If it was Metallica or Ted Nugent I'd go.So I figured it was a nice night for a ride.It was 83 but it felt cooler than that.I was going past a couple of them speed boxes. It read 48 then one read 42.My speedo was dead on the money. After I put my speedo device on I'm glad it is finally accurate.

Chances are you got a couple good speed boxes. I have noticed that those things are NOT always dead on. At least they do not all agree with my speedo. Close but not always on the $$$.

I'd be in the doghouse if I backed out on a chance to see any event with my GF but I am starting to see that a line has to be drawn SOMEWHERE and Don Williams might just be it. No chocha for you, Craig. Bread and water for at least 5 days. Think you will survive??

I hate country music. She was kinda pissed cause she went to see Jeff Beck with me last year.I said thats different like seeing Hendrix.Oh well she'll get over it.I bought her a 6" tablet and she was shocked. So money can buy happinenness.Course I got one too.Don't even know how they work.Wait to I buy a knew bike next year.It will really hit the fan.Have to buy a Corbin with a backrest on it.

The camera radar are almost all set with a 7 mph threshold. When I got my $40 ticket in the mail from the box in Bowie MD, it was a 35 mph zone and I was doing 42 mph when it snapped the picture.

Heard cops are going to lower thresholds, like 4mph, to increase revenues during our ongoing great recession. I try to give them nothing when they may have an unobserved shot. I believe the best plan is to save the grins for sparsely populated backroads. Wait for a good valley, clear, then pull the trigger - scanning for critters left/right and cop lights breaking the horizon. So far, so good.

I went out today by where I almost crashed.Amazing I didn't cause looking at the road there was a steep corner where the other car was coming.I couldn't see him and it was too close for the van to turn.I didn't realize in live time how fast things were hapenning.I must of been going alot faster than I thought. It's amazing how fast these things are and how much trouble you can get into.I was really getting up in the RPM range shifting at 10 grand, finally getting used to it after 3 years.I love this bike.
