Heya.

Just bought my first Kawasaki. Have ridden Harleys all my life and have only ridden a couple of sportbikes. My wife recently bought and R1 and I loved it, but it was just too small for me. I saw an 08 zx14 at a dealership with only 1600 miles on it so I took it for a spin. It fit me a lot better and was a nice ride, so here I am.

Thanks for the forums, I will be searching out the answers to a lot of questions here.

2006 CBR1100xx with a few mods + V Star 1300A Cobra swept exhaust,Fi2000 EFI,Big air kit, Rad cover/Guard,Forward controls/pegs,Pillion mini boards,screen,rack,Saddleman seat a few chrome bits.

I bought this Black and Red SE. I have a lot of questions. I have learned a lot about the Yamahas from starting the mods on my wife's R1 (she had always ridden harleys too until this one, long story).

I dont know where to start on the Ninja!

Ok, how about these... what is the difference between a ZX14 and a ZX14R?

Does anyone make a baffle to replace the ones in the stock pipe?

Are the cats truly located in the front of the muffler?

I have a lot more but I will leave it at these initial ones first...

zx14 was made from 2006-2011... zx14r is the new 2012 model. The bikes share a few parts, but all in all different machines.

Nope... no baffle kits. That's an R1 thing.

Your 2008 has 3 cats. One in each muffler and one in the collector of the header.
